Ryan LaFrancis writes 12 May (in italics):

Very nice website! You have done a lot of research for song lyrics, but as comprehensive as it is I found some songs that you missed as well as a few mistakes that I thought I would tell you about.

You are welcome to point out the mistakes I make and the songs I miss.

I intend my website to be wholly Steven Curtis Chapman; I will slowly bring you the bits & pieces (especially reviews) about each of the songs – in reverse alphabetical order, so that when I’m done, you can scroll down alphabetically by title.

First of all, the Land Of Opportunity has the lyrics for I Am found In You and Signs Of Life has the lyrics for Lost In The Shadow. I did not take a look at all of the lyrics super closely but I just quick sang the chorus of each song in my head as I went down the page. I have not checked the number of songs you listed with the song listings on all Steven’s albums, but I would imagine you probably got all of them.

I have almost all of them.

I am a HUGE fan and so I knew ALL of those songs, even the ones that were not on his albums. Here are a few songs that you missed: Run Home, I Will Not Go Quietly, Remembering You, Soldier, Always Before Me, Remember The Day and But Who May Abide The Day Of His Coming. Also, Musical Blessings and The Circle Game lyrics are out now. Of course there are many other songs that he sings along with other artists as well.

Steven performed in Manila (the Philippines) 7 May at the Forum of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and he was great. I liked the banter that comes from the heart. You probably don’t know it but I’m 66 years old and a great fan of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley and the Beatles and the Corrs and Mariah Carey. It takes all kinds. At the concert, I bought a copy of Musical Blessings, so now I have (almost) all the songs in all his albums.

You Know Better

This is the 7th track in Steven Curtis Chapman’s 1990 album For The Sake Of The Call.

Steven Curtis Chapman says of the album: ‘This album is dedicated to the twelve men who were the first to hear Jesus say ‘Follow Me’ and obeyed; and to Dietrich Bonhoeffer for being one of many through the course of history to inspire us to continue to listen and respond ‘for the sake of the call.’

Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, California) says of the album: ‘The theme of this CD is captured so well by the title. Every song deals in some way with living our lives for God because that is what He’s called us to do. Some songs are obvious, such as the title anthem and ‘Lost In The Shadow.’ Others look at the subject from a slightly different angle.’ Mark has no specific comment on the song, but you know better.

Larry Hehn (Toronto) says of the album: ‘Lyrically, Chapman is very strong, but I couldn’t help feeling that he was still struggling to find his sound on this album, opting for the safe and familiar rather than taking new ground.’ Larry, you are straining your ears, not your mind. Larry says further: ‘Consider songs like ‘Blind Lead The Blind’ and ‘You Know Better.’ Both contain very strong messages and powerful lyrics, but they are cloaked in very wimpy melodies.’ Larry, your comment is wimpy, not the melodies, not the songs. Don’t take the meaning out of the melody or vice versa.

John Pearce (a fan) says of the album: ‘A friend let me listen to his copy, and I didn’t actually play it for about a month because I didn’t think that a Christian could make cool music. Boy, was I wrong! ... Each track is powerful and testifies to a wisdom that is contrary to that which is found in this world. Read 1 Corinthians 1 to see what I mean.’ The Jews demand signs and the Greeks look for wisdom.

JDL (Epinions) says: ‘I think the reason Steven Curtis Chapman is so successful is that he is humble, down-to-earth, and perhaps most important, he puts himself and his gift from God into each of his recordings. And, The Call is no exception.’ And about You Know Better, he says ‘this song is speaking to believers who should and do know better than what they’re acting like and doing. Not very in-depth, but still a catchy one.’ JDL, if you don’t call the last line, ‘A life that isn’t graded on a curve’ very in-depth, what is?

Bruce A Brown (CCM Magazine) says of the album: ‘For The Sake Of The Call is surely Steven’s best album to date, though I hope next time he’ll trust the instincts that formed the arrangements on the all-acoustic Front Row video, and take the same stripped-down approach for his studio recording. Chapman is a superior songwriter, musician and vocalist. His tunes don’t have to be ‘gussied up’ to touch your heart.’ Amen to that.

Frank A Hilario says the song is about people who eat statistics for breakfast. What do the polls (neighbors) say? I will invest in real estate because the trend is toward that direction. What is my blog ranking in Technorati? The difference is statistically highly significant at .005 DMRT. You know what they mean. Their life is graded on a curve, usually the bell curve. Can’t live without having economics for a snack, or science for dinner. In other words, they walk by sight, not by faith.

‘You’ve Got Me’

This is the 5th track in Steven Curtis Chapman’s album All About Love.

Half.com says the album All About Love is ‘undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and emotionally complex examinations of monogamous love ever recorded.’ The songs ‘include the Beatles/Elvis Costello-style workout of ‘You’ve Got Me.Monogamous love? No, half.com, it’s all about love!

Russ Breimeier (Christian Music Today) says the album All About Love ‘displays much musical variety and insight’ and has ‘something to say to all of us about love.’ The song ‘You’ve Got Me’ is about ‘unconditional love, marital, parental, or otherwise.’ I couldn’t agree with you more.

Steven Douglas Losey (All Music Guide) says that with the album All About Love, Steven ‘refocuses on the commitment of his 18-year marriage to his wife Mary Beth.’ It is ‘a lyrical batch of uplifting slants on commitment, passion, and worship that culminate in one beautiful message of love.’ He doesn’t mention ‘You’ve Got Me’ specifically. One beautiful message of love in all its varieties.

Robin Parrish (CM Central) says, ‘The fun chorus in ‘You’ve Got Me’ sounds like something in between the sounds of Motown or the Beach Boys.’ Robin, like many, you’re focusing on the sound while Steven is focusing on the sense.

Greg Brady (Capital City) says the song ‘You’ve Got Me’ is ‘the big pop number’ of the album, ‘an acknowledgement that he’s there with his wife through thick and thin.’ Actually, it’s for a husband, any husband, who wishes to acknowledge that he’s there with his wife through thick and thin.

Frank A Hilario says there are two ways to look at the song ‘You’ve Got Me.’ One, it’s an affirmation of love. Two, it’s a challenge of love. Both are correct views, both apply. It’s a solemn promise to be true. It’s a dare to the spouse to accept the other with all the perfections and imperfections. And that makes it perfect!

‘Your Side Of The World’

This is in Steven Curtis Chapman’s album ‘All About Love.’

Jessica Heikoop (Renown Magazine) says the album ‘is about love; but it’s deeper than just that.’ It is inspired by Mary Beth, Steven’s wife of 18 years; he explains that ‘what really birthed the idea is the fact that I really believe relationships are the greatest gifts God has given us. First and foremost, of course, is our relationship with Him.’ Jessica herself says, ‘So as you listen, you get the feeling that these love songs are reflections of these relationships God gives us … and so they’re much more meaningful when thought of that way.’ She has one word for the song ‘Your Side Of The World’ and it’s ‘upbeat.’ She gets the point; it’s all about relationships.

John DiBiase (Jesus Freak) says Steven’s ‘Your Side Of The World’ ‘addresses the differences between man and woman and Steven’s desire to get to know her better and her different view of life.’ He emphasizes the difference.

David Martin (Epinions) says ‘All About Love’ is ‘an album of Christian love songs that merges the romantic and the spiritual.’ He separates the romantic from the spiritual. He says ‘same old thing stylistically, songs start to sound alike …’ So, he likes the album ‘more for the attempt than the actual product.’ He doesn’t like it. He says ‘Your Side Of The World’ is one which ‘contemplates what things are like from Mary Beth’s point of view.’ He is not sold to the idea.

Russ Breimeier (Christian Music Today) says ‘Your Side Of The World’ ‘questions what life is like through a spouse’s point of view.’ He equates asking the wife what she thinks with questioning what she thinks.

Frank A Hilario says ‘Your Side Of The World’ is about a man or woman (not necessarily the singer) with a gap of misunderstanding between them which cannot be bridged unless one side talks and the other side listens. From my research, in real life, Steven talks; Mary Beth doesn’t want to talk about it, whatever it is they don’t see eye to eye with, the next day. (More on this in my article ‘The Gospel Whisperer’ in the American Chronicle: click the link below.)

‘11-6-64’

This is the title of a song in Steven Curtis Chapman’s album ‘All About Love.’ What is it all about? I’ve never seen a song, or a poem for that matter, with a title that is all digits.

Michael Lyttle of Amazon.com calls the album ‘less-than-spectacular’ and dismisses most of the songs, including ’11-6-64’ without mentioning it in his brief editorial review, as ‘true love’ songs that are ‘noble in intent but stylistically drab.’ He is focusing on the musical style.

Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, California) says 11-6-64 is ‘cute’ and that it is all about ‘the joy that Mary Beth has brought into his life’ (his meaning Steven). He is focusing on the joy.

John DiBiase says Steven’s 11-6-64 is ‘a tender acoustic folk ballad written directly to his wife expressing his adoration and how meaningful and essential her birthday is to his life.’ He is focusing on meaning.

Lisa Zhito (Barnes & Noble) says the album ‘All About Love’ is ‘an outstanding collection that is both musically rich and lyrically eloquent.’ She does not mention 11-6-64. She is focusing on the eloquence.

Russ Breimeier (Christian Music Today) says 11-6-64 is ‘a charming acoustic flavored ditty that commemorates Mary Beth’s birth date and the profound effect it would have on her husband’s life, but the suggestion that the two-year-old Steven probably ‘laughed and played harder on that day’ is a bit much.’ He is focusing on the detail.

Frank A Hilario says 11-6-64 (2003) is a song of love but not that of Steven for Mary Beth – how can it be, when he was 2 and she was newborn and they didn’t know each other? It is about the love of God who is the One who gives you someone to love. Recall the lyrics of ‘I Will Be Here’ (1989) – ‘I will be true to the promise I have made / true to the One who gave you to me.’ I am focusing on Steven’s focus.

Writing from the heart’s overflow

I’ve been surfing, and I found this gem: In November 2004, Kirk Cameron hosted a Praise program for Trinity Broadcasting Network with Steven Curtis Chapman. Steven tells Kirk how he writes his music: ‘from the overflow of my heart.’ Surfing, I found this little poem I like because I think it fits nicely with what Steven Curtis Chapman is doing with his life as a husband, father, son, neighbour, songmaker, singer, model:

Be True
Horatius Bonar

Thou must be true thyself,
If thou the truth wouldst teach;
Thy soul must overflow, if thou
Another’s soul wouldst reach!
It needs the overflow of heart
To give the lips full speech.

Think truly, and thy thoughts
Shall the world’s famine feed;
Speak truly, and each word of thine
Shall be fruitful seed;
Live truly, and thy life shall be
A great and noble creed.

Family Advocate, Hero

Linda M Canup (2005, intouch.org/) calls Steven Curtis Chapman ‘an activist for adoption’ as he and Mary Beth, his wife, have 3 times adopted an orphan and all from China. She (Linda) is correct; she is emphasizing the visible act, which Steven himself calls the ‘visible Gospel.’ Notwithstanding, don’t forget that Steven has come up with a Christmas album (2005) with the title ‘All I Really Want For Christmas’ – and the answer is? Family. Steven’s ‘visible’ advocacy is adoption; his ‘invisible’ advocacy is family. In the US, where divorce is the norm, advocating family is a radical concept. In millions of American minds, it’s human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, gay’s rights – the family is not that important. Steven Curtis Chapman is a modern hero for the modern family. Here’s to the family!

‘All songs & lyrics’

poemhunter.com claims that it has ‘all songs lyrics’ (I’m quoting verbatim) of Steven Curtis Chapman, but when I visited and searched under ‘S’ I did not see in the list ‘Steven Curtis Chapman.’ Somebody forgot. If you’re reading this, you are in the right place: if you scroll down, I have the complete lyrics of 150 songs of this Gospel music, the greatest ever. Can you beat that?

Do you see what I see?

CCAuthority.com advertises itself as the ‘World’s Largest Christian Concert Search Engine’ and yet when I searched in it today, 28 April 2006, 1632 hours, I could not find the name ‘Steven Curtis Chapman’ even if I looked under the C list or the S list under ‘Search by artist.’ Why is that? Now, I have written an American Chronicle article (‘The Gospel Whisperer’) calling Steven Curtis Chapman ‘the greatest Christian music artist ever’ (I also call him a musical genius). (Click the link below on American Chronicle if you want to know more.) Based on 2 weeks of non-stop Internet research, I can back up my claim that Steven is the biggest of them all, with 50 Dove Awards to his name, more than anybody else, larger than life. So, I’m intrigued that the largest Christian concert search engine does not know that Steven is now on a Southeast Asia tour, departing 24 April yet on a 20-city international tour, performing in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China. The largest missing seeing the biggest? It means that some people have eyes and yet do not see.

‘Greatest Christian music artist ever’

I call Steven Curtis Chapman that (and more) in my article ‘The Gospel Whisperer’ (American Chronicle, 24 April 2006) (Click the link below if you want to read it.) If you read the brief bio I wrote (just scroll down), you will see in the very first paragraph why he is the best and the brightest to me. He is an all-around artist and he has 50 Dove Awards to prove that he towers above all of them. Is he perfect? No. And he tells you that, and he struggles mightily in life to confront the challenges, and all the more reason to applaud him. He is one of us.

‘Jesus is life’

Steven Curtis Chapman has a song ‘Jesus Is Life’ in his 2001 album Declaration. In the song, he emphasizes that without Jesus, there is no life in the life in him. That’s a basic declaration he makes. Basic means it’s a foundation, not everything. So, I wouldn’t take Declaration as if it can stand alone. I understand Steven to say in his other songs that without living on the outside what you have in the inside, you don’t have a life. Get a life!

How do you write a book?

Steven tells Brian Mansfield (USA Today, 9 July 1999) about his writing the book Speechless with Scotty Smith, his pastor, that he felt ‘like a preschooler trying to write a book you should have a PhD to write.’ My experience with PhDs is that if you want a book unfinished, ask a PhD. He knows too much he doesn’t know where to begin, so he gets writer’s block. It would be a different story if you get a writer to talk to a PhD and he (the writer, not the PhD) writes the book.

How do you write a bio?

From my 2 weeks Internet surfing on everything Steven Curtis Chapman, including downloading all the lyrics I could (I have 150 songs right here), I saw the most used bio of Steven written by Sandra Brennan. Overall it’s a good one, but I thought I could improve on it. So I wrote one (below). In my bio, you see Steven as The Man and The Superman (with apologies to George Bernard Shaw).

Aroma Light Colors Murmur Melody Moan

That was the original name of this website. That line comes from the valedictory poem of the national hero of the Philippines, Jose Rizal, from my own English translation (2005 December). (Click the link ‘Adios, Beloved Patria’ if you want the complete translation.) I was thinking the 150 songs of Steven Curtis Chapman were of every hue and color, and this line from the last poem of my hero fits very well. Steven’s songs reflect all the colors of life more than can be reflected here.

Gospel Music Superstar,
Your Next Door Neighbor

Brief Biography: Steven Curtis Chapman
‘A musical genius’ is what American Chronicle calls him. That he is. He did not seek it, but he has forever changed the theme of Christian music (dependence, not independence), the way Christian music is composed (by the heart), what it says in the outside (living our lives) and the inside (living God’s love). He did not pursue it, but he has won more Dove Awards (50) than his age (44), signifying that he has received the anointing of his peers. He has won 44 #1 Gospel music radio hits, signifying that he has received the anointing of his listeners. He has won 37 #1 Christian video hits, signifying that he has received the anointing of his viewers. He is the Uncrowned King of Christian Music.

Steven’s 44 years have been ordinary as well as extraordinary. He was born on 21 November 1962 in Paducah, Kentucky. He learned to write songs from his father, to play the guitar and piano well in his music store. He had asthma. He dropped out of pre-med college to pursue a musical career in Nashville, the American Mecca of song. He came out with his first #1 radio hit, ‘His Eyes’ (co-written with James Isaac Elliot) in his second album, out in 1988; it also earned him a Dove Award as ‘Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.’ His musical rise had begun.

He describes his songwriting ‘more of a process, writing while still climbing the mountain.’ That describes his married life. Steven and Mary Beth got married in 1984 when he was 21 and she was 19, with only $50 between the two of them. Six months after the wedding, Mary Beth became pregnant with Emily. They were not ready for a life as a couple; they were not ready for a life as family. Five months after Emily was born, their apartment burned down and they lost everything. They quarreled. The quarreling was heated until it came to a boiling point; even with parents from both sides, matters turned from bad to worse. Then Steven shouted at the top of his voice, ‘Satan will not have this family!’ And that was when all the loving came back.

Steven may be a superstar but he is not superhuman. When his parents divorced who were considered ‘the perfect couple,’ he was devastated. His heart bled; yet, a little later, his spirit burst into a new song, ‘I Will Be Here,’ his love oath to Mary Beth, as if to say, ‘No matter what happens, I will never leave you.’ They have been married for 22 years.

His parents lived on to other personal perils than divorce. His father caught cancer in 1999; two years later, his mother too was diagnosed with the dreaded disease. With God’s grace, his father’s cancer went on remission 3 months later; out of this experience came the album ‘Speechless’ (1999), Steven’s expression of wonder and thanks.

He and his wife, Mary Beth, who is 2 years younger, have 3 children on their own: Emily (19), Caleb (15), and Will Franklin (14); and 3 adopted daughters: Shaohannah (5), Stevey Joy (2), and Maria Sue (1). The Chapmans have found it a great blessing to adopt more than one child, all from China. They consider an extended family a symbol of God’s blessing on the idea of family itself, God working within and for the family. They have set up Shaohannah’s Hope, a foundation to help other families adopt orphans in the US or abroad. Blessings shared are blessings multiplied.

The Chapmans are an ordinary family too. Steven and Mary Beth are attending a class on Christian parenting; ‘We need all the help we can get,’ Steven says. His children are finding a hard time teaching their Dad to use the computer (they are a Mac family).

Much has been made of the distinct Steven Curtis Chapman sound that Steven himself calls ‘the mysterious McCracken county sound.’ In fact, it is not the sound that distinguishes his music – it’s the sense of participating in what Luis Palau calls the greatest adventure: Christian life, that is, living the faith, not just professing it, as millions do. With his touring band, Steven has performed for Luis Palau festival ministry and for Chuck Colson’s prison ministry.

Starting 24 April, Steven is on a 20-city Asian tour, with scheduled singing visits to cities in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea and China. At the end of this tour, he and his family will stay in China for one month and work in the Beijing orphanages.

Steven has composed, sang and recorded in 22 albums more than 150 songs in 21 years, most of them with Sparrow Records. He has 2 albums certified platinum (‘Heaven In The Real World’ in 1994 and ‘Speechless’ in 1999) and 7 albums certified gold. The song ‘I Will Be Here’ (1989) has become a classic and is a favorite all over the world by soloists in weddings. This year, he released his latest album, ‘Musical Blessings’ (March). He has sold more than 10 million records in a very-difficult-to-please market: Christian music lovers.

He came out with the book ‘Restoring Broken Things’ in 2005, about Jesus’ role in making ‘all things new’ and man’s role in that process. He has co-written 3 books with his wife, Mary Beth, a book series called Shaoey & Dot published by Tommy Nelson.

While his record is unbelievable, his life is believable. Amidst all that great honor, he is humbled. ‘I’m a guy who isn’t perfect,’ he says, ‘who argues with his wife and kids, who doesn’t have all the answers.’

His living as husband, father, son, neighbor is all in pursuit of answers to questions that never stop coming. Steven’s one hidden message in his songs is that in leading the Christian life, sometimes we will win, sometimes we will lose – always we should be trying and never lose faith, never lose hope, never lose love.

This website has the most lyrics of Steven Curtis Chapman, bar none. For 2 days, I checked and rechecked the other sites and collected (downloaded) from them besides, thank you very much. (Some sites have double entries, like ‘What Would I Say’ and ‘What I Would Say’ – the first is correct.) I’ll check again later, but my gut feel says I do have all the lyrics of all the songs (except those in the latest album, Musical Blessings, released March 2006 – details not available yet). The lyrics of 150 songs in only one easily accessible place, that’s worth a Guinness Book of World Record. I’ll call it ‘The Most Lyrics of the Most Songs of One Gospel Singer in One Website’ – scroll down and see for yourself.

King of Christian music coming to town, coming to Manila in May 2006. That’s Steven Curtis Chapman, the gospel musicmaker who has won more Dove Awards than anyone (50) in the Christian music world. The Dove Awards are the Grammy Awards in the Christian universe. If you want the lyrics of any of his songs, look below this. If you happen to be in Manila early next month, look for details by clicking the link below: Chapman Live! Manila May 2006.

A To C Lyrics

11-6-64

11-6-64 the sun shone a whole lot brighter
Than ever it had before smiling down on me
At 1:09 PM both hands of time stopped turning
And you came waltzing in to change my world for good

And I was only 2 years old so really I don't know
Exactly what was going on
But I, I bet I laughed and played harder on that day
'Cause my whole world was changing on ...

11-6-64 you breathed your first breath
Suddenly living life meant so much more
On the day that you were born

And I, well I was only 2 so I didn't have a clue
Of all that was transpiring
But I, I bet the sky was blue and all the world looked new
'Cause everything was changing on ...

All About Love

Is love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love
It's all about love

Now they're fighting in the middle east
And they're fighting down on Seventh Street
And there are fights in my own house on given days
It's like something's lurking deep inside
Can't seem to be satisfied
But life was not meant to be lived this way
'Cause it's true for every man and woman
Every boy and
That our only hope for living here together in this world
Is love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love

This is the reason we were made
To know the love of our Creator
And to give the love He's given us away
Yeah, the Maker, and the Father, and the God of everything
He says to love, love, love
He says love, love, love
Love, love, love
'Cause after all, it's all about love

Gods says love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love

'Cause after all, it's all about love

That's right, yeah (laugh)
Woo!
It's all about, yea yea
It's all about
All about love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love

After all don't you know?
That it really all comes down to love
After all don't you know that
Gonna tell you what it's all about, yeah
Yeah, it's all about love
Yeah, it's all about love, yeah
It's all about love,
Love, love, love

All Things New

You spoke and made the sunrise, to light up the very first day
You breathed across the water, and started the very first wave
It was You
You introduced Your glory, to every living creature on earth
And they started singing, the first song to ever be heard
They sang for You

You make all things new
You make all things new

Then the world was broken, fallen and battered and scarred
You took the hopeless, the life, wasted, ruined and marred
And made it new

You make all things new
You make all things new
You redeem and You transform
You renew and You restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

You turn winter into spring
You take every living thing
And You breathe Your breath of life into it over and over again

You made the sunrise, day after day after day
But there's a morning coming, when old things will all pass away
And everyone will see

You make all things new
You make all things new
Come redeem and come transform
Come renew and come restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

Now and forever You are making all things new
You're making all things new

Hallelujah...

Angels We Have Heard On High

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echo back their joyous strains
Gloria, Gloria

Shepherds, why this jubilee
Why your joyous strains prolong
Say what may these tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song
Gloria, Gloria

Gloria, in excelsis Deo
Gloria, in excelsis Deo

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing
Come adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the new born King
Gloria, Gloria

Gloria, in excelsis Deo
Gloria, in excelsis Deo

We sing gloria
Gloria, in excelsis Deo
Gloria, in excelsis Deo

Angels Wish

Was God smiling
When He spoke the words
That made the world
And did he cry about the flood
And what does God's voice sound like
When He sings, when He's angry
These are just a few things
That the angels have on me

chorus:
Well, I can't fly
At least not yet
I've got no halo on my head
And I can't even start to picture Heaven's beauty
But I've been shown the Savior's love
The grace of God has raised me up
To show me things the angels long to look into
And I know things
The Angels only wish they knew

I have seen the dark and desperate place
Where sin will take you
I've felt loneliness and shame
And I have watched the blinding light of grace
Come breaking through with a sweetness
Only tasted by the forgiven and redeemed

(repeat chorus)

And someday I'll sit down with my angel friends
Up in Heaven
They'll tell me about creation
And I'll tell them a story of grace

(repeat chorus)

Be Still And Know

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is holy
Be still oh restless soul of mine
Bow before the prince of Peace
Let the noise and clamor cease

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is faithful
Consider all that He has done
Stand in awe and be amazed
And know that He will never change
Be still

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is God
Be still
Be speechless

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know He is our Father
Come rest your head upon His breast
Listen to the rhythm of
His unfailing heart of love
Beating for His little ones
Calling each of us to come
Be still
Be still

Big Story

Verse 1:
I hear the rumors of another world
Like distant voices in the wind
They say there is a story being told
Bigger than I can comprehend
And in the rumors I can hear an invitation calling

chorus:
This is the, the big story
There is a God who's in control
Telling the, the big story

And He wants us to know
We will find ourselves when we loose ourselves
In the bigger story
Come and take your place in the story

Verse 2:
We all live in this place called the here and now
We see what's right before our eyes
But right here right now heaven's coming down

All around God's story is coming alive
And in this moment if we listen
We can hear Him calling

chorus again

Captivating, fascinating, all consuming
Never concluding, One and only
Ever unfolding, Story of stories
The big, big story

Blind Lead The Blind

There's a teacher in a school room
Somewhere on the edge of town
Telling innocent little children what we used to be
They look and listen without a question
They see the pictures passed around
Making facts out of a theory and they all believe
As the lost lead the way
Another heart is led astray

chorus

These are the days when the blind lead the blind
And there's one narrow way out of here
So pray that the light of the world will keep your eyes clear
'Cause it's a dangerous place here where the blind lead the blind

There's a preacher in a nice church
Anchored in the heart of town
People flock to hear his eloquent delivery
He talks of Jesus how he can please us
But the cross cannot be found
Makin' theory out of facts until they're all deceived
And the lost lead the way
And more hearts are led astray

chorus
This is a dangerous time
And the truth is hard to find
So let His word light your way
And guard every step you take

chorus

Bring It On

didn’t come lookin’ for trouble
And I don’t want to fight needlessly
But I’m not gonna hide in a bubble
If trouble comes for me
I can feel my heart beating faster
I can tell something’s coming down
But if it’s gonna make me grow stronger then…

Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let the hard rain fall, let it make me strong
Bring it on

Now, maybe you’re thinkin’ I’m crazy
And maybe I need to explain some things
‘Cause I know I’ve got an enemy waiting
Who wants to bring me pain
But what he never seems to remember
What he means for evil God works for good
So I will not retreat or surrender

Now, I don’t want to sound like some hero
‘Cause it’s God alone that my hope is in
But I’m not gonna run from the very things
That would drive me closer to Him
So bring it on

Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let it make me fall on the One who’s strong
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let me be made weak so I’ll know the strength of the One who’s strong
Bring it on
Bring it on

Burn The Ships

In the spring of 1519 a Spanish fleet set sail
Cortez told his sailors this mission must not fail
On the eastern shore of Mexico they landed with great dreams
But the hardships of the new world make them restless and weak
Quietly they whispered, "Let's sail back to the life we knew"
But the one who led them there was saying

chorus
Burn the ships, we're here to stay
There's no way we could go back
Now that we've come this far by faith
Burn the ships, we've passed the point of no return
Our life is here
So let the ships burn

In the spring of new beginnings a searching heart set sail
Looking for a new life and a love that would not fail
On the shores of grace and mercy we landed with great joy
But an enemy was waiting to steal, kill, and destroy
Quietly he whispers, "Go back to the life you know"
But the one who led us here is saying

(chorus)

bridge
Nobody said it would be easy
But the one who brought us here
Is never gonna leave us alone

(chorus)

Busy Man

I know a man named Billy
He's got almost everything
Three stories, two cars, one swimming pool
And some broken parts of an empty heart
And I'm thinkin'...

chorus 1
Billy, Billy, Billy, you're a very busy man
But you're running with your eyes closed
You could be missing life all along the way
And you'd never even know it
You're a busy man Billy, Billy, you're a busy man
Just too busy man

You've got a lot of nice things there Billy
But they've cost you more than you know
'Cause what is it really worth can you tell me
If you're gaining the world but you're losing your soul
And I'm thinkin'...

chorus 2
Billy, Billy, Billy, you're a very busy man
But you're running with your eyes closed
Looks like you traded life for the things you have
Not the thing you really wanted
You're a busy man Billy, Billy, you're a busy man

bridge
So when the day is over
And the lights go out
Do you ever stop and wonder
Wonder what it's all about
Wonder what it's all about
Wonder what it's all about
Hey Billy do you ever wonder
What it's all about?

chorus 1

fade
Slow down busy man take a look around you
When it's all said and done tell me what's it gonna come to

Carry You To Jesus

I will not pretend to feel the pain you’re going through
I know I cannot comprehend the hurt you’ve known
And I used to think it mattered if I understood
But now I just don’t know

Well, I’ll admit sometimes I still wish I knew what to say
And I keep looking for a way to fix it all
But we know we’re at the mercy of God’s higher ways
And our ways are so small

But I will carry you to Jesus
He is everything you need
I will carry you to Jesus on my knees

It’s such a privilege for me to give this gift to you
All I’d ever hope you’d give me in return
Is to know that you’ll be there to do the same for me
When the tables turn

And if you need to cry go on and I, I will cry along with you, yeah
I’ve given you what I have but still I know the best thing I can do
Is just pray for you

I’ll carry you
I’ll take you to Jesus on my knees

Celebrate You

I'm no stranger to your gentle reminders
That the world does not revolve around me
But no sooner have you spoken the words
Then your love comes once again to surround me
And every time I look in your eyes
I see the reflections of myself
But this time I want to look deeper
And see you and nobody else

So, tell me what you think, and tell me what you feel
I want to hear the thunder I'm so quick to steal
Listen to the dreams you're dreaming and celebrate you
Let me show you what a treasure you are
A priceless gift from heaven to this thankful heart
I want to take this lifetime to celebrate you
I want to celebrate you

I have heard you say so many times
How you're sorry you're not everything you should be
So let me tell you this one more time
There's no way you could be any more precious to me
But I know that lovely flowers and phrases
Are not what you need the most from me
You're longing for someone to listen
And that's what I want to learn how to be

I want to share your laughter
And I want to share your tears
We're gonna share this life together
And I'm gonna celebrate you
Celebrate you

Children Of The Burning Heart

We were the dreamers, the boys on the wild frontier
The new believers with nothing in the world to fear
We had discovered the treasure of the love and the grace of God
And it burned like a fire in our hearts, and we would...

Throw back our heads and run with the passion
Through the fields of forgiveness and grace
We carried the eternal flame
With an undying hope and a blazing conviction
Of a truth that would never fade
We were glowing in the dark
Children of the burning heart

And now for the dreamers, and those who have dared to believe
The flames call us deeper into the great mystery
For as we draw near to the Father we are lost in this one desire
To be wholly consumed by His fire, so let us...

Throw back our heads and run with the passion
Through the fields of forgiveness and grace
We carry the eternal flame
With an undying hope and a blazing conviction
Of a truth that will never fade
We are glowing in the dark
Children of the burning heart

So come on let's...
Throw back our heads and run with the passion
Through the fields of forgiveness and grace
We carry the eternal flame
with an undying hope and a blazing conviction
Of a truth that will never fade
We are glowing in the dark
Children of the burning heart
Keep on glowing in the dark
Children of the burning heart

Christmas Is All In The Heart

In a one bedroom apartment on the humble side of town
There stands a little Christmas tree, looks a lot like Charlie Brown's
And underneath there's one little gift for him and one little gift for her
After six months on the new job, they're still barely getting by
So in the way of decorations, there's nothing there to catch your eye
But both of them would be the first to say
We're together, we're gonna have the merriest Christmas anyway

chorus:
'Cause Christmas is all in the heart, that's where the feeling starts
And like a fire inside, it touches every part
'Cause Christmas is all in the heart
And even if no white snow falls, that's all right because
The joy can still be found, wherever you are
'Cause Christmas is all, all in the heart

Two little blonde haired boys with big dreams, tried to sleep but sleep wouldn't come
We'd be tearing into presents, long before the break of dawn
With Mom and Dad and cameras making sure we'd never forget that day
Now I'm the one who's taking pictures, in the middle of the night
Of my own blonde headed dreamers that just can't wait until daylight

And in my sleepy eyes the spark still glows
Well I guess there's just some things a kid never outgrows

(chorus)
No, it's not in the snow that may or may not fall
And it's not in the gifts around the tree
It's in the love heaven gave, the night our Savior came
And that same love can still be found wherever you are
'Cause Christmas is all in the heart
And the joy can still be found, wherever you are
'Cause Christmas is all, all in the heart
It's all in the heart

Coming Attraction

Verse 1:
A day is coming when all will be fed
There won't be a single hungry mouth
Begging for bread

A day is coming
When every disease will be swept away
As mercy floods through every street

A day is coming
A day is coming
A day is coming
But until that day comes

chorus:
Let Your kingdom come in me
Let Your will be done in me
Here on earth as it is and as it will be in Heaven

Show Your glory to the world
Tell Your story to the world
Let my life be a preview of coming attractions
Yeah, coming attractions

Verse 2:
A day is coming that won't fade into night
There'll be no more hatred to endure
No wars to fight

There'll be no orphans
No prisoners or slaves
And all the tears of death and pain
Will be washed away

This day is coming
It's surely coming
JEsus, You're coming
But until that day comes

chorus again

Shine Your light through me
Live Your life through me
Let the world see Your Kingdom come in me

Consider It Done

Sometimes you wanna laugh
Sometimes you wanna cry
You're just not good enough no matter how you try
So you go on but you know something's wrong
You meant it when you
Asked Him in down on your knees
Somehow you lost the thrill
And thrills are what you need
To let you know where you're gonna go
(You struggle on) trying to earn what He's given to you
He died to give it what more can you do

chorus
So consider it, consider it done
That prize you're fighting for is already won
So consider it, consider it done
You'll find His work's just begun
When you consider it done

God helps the ones who help themselves
Some people say
But are we helping out or getting in His way
He wants our best and He'll do the rest
It's by His grace we're saved
Not by the things we do
So we've got to serve Him with a thankful attitude
And let Him know where He leads we'll go
(From this day on) our hope's in Jesus
And His work's complete
(From this day on) He makes His experience our history

Repeat chorus

D To F Lyrics

Dancing With The Dinosaur

Once upon a time not so long ago in a land not so far away
Right and wrong were not quite so hard to know
And black and white were not so gray
Times have changed and now it seems
Conscience has gone the way of the dinosaur
But I believe it's still alive and well today
In the hearts of those who will stand up and say

chorus
I'm dancing with the dinosaur
Living my life with conscience and conviction
I don't want to see the truth ignored
So I've gotta keep on dancing
I've gotta keep on dancing with the dinosaur

There's a banner waving saying tolerance will set you free, it's the latest thing
While the consequences it leaves behind are like a ball and chain
But there's a voice in everyone called conscience
That's been around since God created man
And as we learn to listen to its whispering
We'll find the greater freedom when we stand up and sing

(chorus)

bridge
Right is right and wrong is wrong just like it has been along
We cannot sit by and see conscience become history
So come on, get up and dance
Dance this dance with me

(Gonna keep on dancing, gonna keep on dancing with the dinosaur
Gonna keep on dancing, gonna keep on dancing with the dinosaur)

(chorus)

(Outro)

(Gonna keep on dancing, gonna keep on dancing with the dinosaur
Gonna keep on dancing, gonna keep on dancing with the dinosaur)

Declaration Of Dependence

Now just the other day I overheard a flower talking to the sky
He said you know that I would be nothing without You, oh, oh
He said you give me rain, you give the sun a place to shine
You’re everything that my whole existence comes down to, oh, oh
And then the flower started singing a song
Before I knew it I was singing along
And we sang…

This is my declaration of dependence
This is my declaration of my need
This is my declaration of dependence
On the one who gave His life to me

Now, let me say that I’m the kind of guy who wants to do it all myself
Don’t want to ask for help, don’t like to stop for directions, oh, oh
But in reality I’m nothing on my own
It’s by God’s grace alone that I can make this confession
All that I am and all I’m hoping to be
Is all and only what He’s given to me
So I say…

And I know this is how my life was meant to be
I was made for this dependency
On the one who has created me
So I’ll sing my declaration song
For the one I am depending on
And I hope you’ll sing along

Dive

The long awaited rains
Have fallen hard upon the thirsty ground
And carved their way to where
The wild and rushing river can be foung
And like the rain
I have been carried here to where the river flows, yeah
My heart is racing and my knees are weak
As I walk to the edge
I know there is no turning back
Once my feet have left the ledge
And in the rush I hear a voice
That's telling me it's time to take the leap of faith
So here I go

I'm diving in, I'm going deep in over my head, I want to be
Caught in the rush, lost in the flow, in over my head, I want to go
The river's deep, the river's wide, the river's water is alive
So sink or swim, I'm diving in

There is a supernatural power
In this mighty river's flow
It can bring the dead to life
And it can fill an empty soul
And give a heart the only thing
Worth living and worth dting for, yeah
But we will never know the awesome power
Of the grace of God
Until we let our selves get swept away
Into this holy flood
So if you'll take my hand
We'll close our eyes and count to three
And take the leap of faith
Come on let's go

Do They Know

I'm one of the chosen few
God chose to carry to
A hopeless and dying world
Good News.

I'm a disciple of
A caring Father's love,
A light to the world,
To show them the way.

chorus
Do they know;
Can they see;
Jesus lives in me. (2x)

A vacant house comes alive
When somebody moves inside,
A light in the window means somebody's home;
I say Jesus lives in me,
But can everybody see
The light of His love that shines in my heart.

(chorus)

A cloud of witnesses surrounds us,
Who long to share what we've received;
Tell me where will they see Jesus,
If not in you and me.

So we must let them know,
Let them see Jesus lives in you and me.
Let them know, let them see;
He is all they need,
Jesus is all we need.

Don't Let The Fire Die

I can still feel the prayers you prayed for me all those years
And I see now more than ever what a difference they have made
And I can still hear your words spoken from a heart of great concern
Saying keep your eyes on Jesus and love Him more than anything
And I've watched the wind blow hard against you
And I've seen your faith get weakened by the pain
And I want you to know that I will be praying for you to hold on

chorus
Don't let the fire die
The flame has been dimmed by the tears that you've cried
But I can still see the spark of His love in your eyes
So don't let the fire, please don't let the fire die

This heavy weight you carry around
Of letting yourself and everybody down
Is pouring water on the passion that used to burn so bright
Well I know you've got your reasons for resentment
And I know it's more than I can understand
So just let me say that I'm gonna be praying for you
To let it all go

chorus
Don't let the fire die
The flame has been dimmed by the tears that you've cried
But I can still see the spark of His love in your eyes

bridge
I'm not praying for the fire to burn the way it did before
'Cause I believe the one who started this flame in your heart
He wants to give you more
So don't let the fire die
(chorus)

Dying To Live

Another case of I wish I wouldn't have;
Another promise not to let Him down again.
Fighting battles in a war I thought was over;
The old man of sin died a long time ago,
But left behind a sinful nature deep within,
So if I want to win this fight,
There's a part of me that must die,
But I'm not gonna cry.

chorus
'Cause I'm dying to live,
Live for Jesus.
Dying to give myself to Him,
And the life that He gives will be mine
If I am dying to live.
Dying to live,
Live for Jesus.
I want to give myself to Him;
Gonna give up - from now on I'm dying to live.

Giving up what I can't keep anyway,
To gain something that I know I'll never lose,
Trading in the temporary for the eternal,
And though it's settled, I'm reminded everyday;
To live or die to self - it's up to me to choose,
So if I want to win the fight there's a part of me
That must die.
Well I've said my goodbyes.

(chorus)

Echoes Of Eden

What is it about a kiss that makes me feel like this
What is it that makes my heart beat faster when I'm in your arms
What is it about your touch that amazes me so much

How is it that your sweet smile can get me through the hardest mile
What's the magic in your eyes that brings the love in me alive
What is it about this dance the sweetness of our romance
That makes me feel this way

These are the echoes of Eden
Reflections of what we were created for
Hints of the passion and freedom
Awaits on the other side of heaven's door
These are the echoes of Eden

How is it the sky turns grey anytime you're far away
What is it that makes me sad any time you're feeling mad
What is it about this night the music and the candlelight
That makes me feel this way

These are the echoes of Eden
Reflections of what we were created for
Hints of the passion and freedom
Awaits on the other side of heaven's door
These are the echoes of Eden

Every Little Kiss

Well I first remember the first time
I felt the power of your kiss
It hit me like a bolt of lightning
I said I never will recover from this

And like the words from the mouth of a prophet
I have lived to see those words come true
Just look at me now, I'm still reeling

With every little kiss I'm reminded
How wonderful it is to be in love with you
With every little look
With every little touch
With every little kiss

Like a moth being drawn to a candle
This is something that I can't resist
I guess you could say I'm addicted
Cause I keep coming back again and again

After all of the storms we have weathered
All the seasons of change we've ben though
Somehow the flame keeps getting brighter

With every little kiss I'm reminded
How wonderful it is to be in love with you
With every little look
With every little touch
With every kiss you give me just a little taste of heaven
Just one more good gift that God has given
I don't want to miss one single little kiss

Facts Are Facts

Well I don't wanna' take up anybody's time
I'm just givin' my opinion with a rhythm and a clever rhyme
I don't want these words to sound
Like I think I've got it all figured out
But there are a few things I can say I know without a doubt

chorus:
I know there's a God who knows my name
And a Son who died to take the blame
I believe that Jesus is coming back
'cause promises are promises and facts are facts

These days some say there's no one way to believe
Just keep it loose, you're free to choose
There's no absolute it's all relative you see
Calling all defenders of the truth
Live a life that spells out God's worldview
Let these words be heard in everything you say and do

chorus:
I know there's a God who knows my name
And a Son who died to take the blame
I believe that Jesus is coming back
'cause promises are promises and facts are facts

bridge:
As sure as there's a law of gravity
That says what goes up must come down
This is the ultimate reality
That God is, and God loves, and God can be found

Well I know there's a God who knows my name
Promises are promises and facts are facts
And a Son who died to take the blame
Promises are promises and facts are facts
And I believe that Jesus is coming back
'Cause promises are promises and facts are facts

(chorus)

Promises are promises and facts are facts (x3)

Faithful Too

Steven Curtis Chapman/Geoff Moore
Hebrews 10:23

It's a brand new day and the sun is shining bright
Looks like it's gonna be the very best day of my life
So I jump out of bed into a world of opportunities
I gotta get movin', no time to get down on my knees
Then the telephone rings
It's the voice of tragedy
Now I suddenly find
The time to get down on my knees

chorus
I say, "I love You"
I always look to You when trouble calls my name
But if I'm gonna say, "I love You"
I've gotta be faithful too
The true test of my love will be
Did I follow You consistently
Through the good and bad
I want to be faithful too

Talk is cheap
Some words come a dozen for a dime
But a real life conversation
Will take some precious time
And if I give my all
Lord that's the least that I can do
Compared to all the faithfulness
I have found in You
So if tragedy calls
Or if everything goes my way
I want to be found
Faithful to you every day

Repeat chorus

Fingerprints Of God

I can see tears filling your eyes
And I know where they're coming from
They're coming from a heart that's broken in two
By what you don't see
The person in the mirror
Doesn't look like the magazine
Oh, but when I look at you it's clear to me that...

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

Never has there been and never again
Will there be another you
Fashioned by God's hand
And perfectly planned
To be just who you are
And what He's been creating
Since the first beat of your heart
Is a living breathing priceless work of art...

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

Just look at you
You're a wonder in the making
Oh, and God's not through, no
In fact, He's just getting started...

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

First Hand

another sunday morning same old you
hoping that the preacher's preaching's almost
through
not sure you need to hear this
seems like you've heard it all before
a hundred times or more
all this information second hand
is there something more that you don't
understand
it's a way of life you're missing
where the Word becomes a part of you
walking everyday with Jesus
finding out his promises are true

chorus:
living life first hand
learning the truth
straight from the Father
living life first hand
there's no middle man
when you walk with the Lord
first hand

it's all in your mind the world will say
but this is something
that they can't explain away
not just some fancy talking
or just some emotion that you feel
it's a life of first hand walking
finding out His promises are real
(chorus)

For The Sake Of The Call

Nobody stood and applauded them
So they knew from the start
This road would not lead to fame
All they really knew for sure was Jesus had called to them
He said "Come follow me" and they came
With reckless abandon they came

Empty nets lying there at the waters edge
Told a story that few could believe and none could explain
How some crazy fishermen agreed to go where Jesus lead
With no thought for what they would gain
For Jesus had called them by name and they answered

chorus
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die
For the sake of the call

Drawn like the rivers are drawn to the sea
No turning back for the water cannot help but flow
Once we hear the Savior's call we'll follow wherever he leads
Because of the love He has shown
And because he has called us to go we will answer

We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die

bridge
Not for the sake of a creed or a cause
Not for a dream or a promise
Simply because it is Jesus who calls
And if we believe we'll obey

chorus

For Who He Really Is

Steven Curtis Chapman/Geoff Moore
Matthew 5:13-16

"Too many hypocrites," I heard her say
"I even saw it in the headlines today
How can I follow God when His own people turn away"
She said, "Nobody's perfect but I just want to see
Somebody living what they say they believe
If they've got all this world needs like they say
I wonder whay won't they give some away."

chorus
Can (she, he, they) see God for who He really is
In what (she, he, they) see(s) in you and me
Can (she, he, they) see God for who He really is
For who He really is
Is all (she, he, they) really need(s) to see

He slips into church and he puts up his guard
They look so happy but his life's been so hard
He keeps his distance so they won't see the scars
It's just religion that's all dressed up in white
And God is love as long as you're living right
But does he know that Jesus also has scars
And His love can reach him no matter how far

chorus
The skeptics are watching to see who wiill fall
While those disillusioned search for the Truth in it all
Maybe today we'll cross their paths unaware
And they'll stop and look at us. What will be there?

chorus

Free

The sun was beating down inside the walls of stone and razor wire
As we made our way across the prison yard
I felt my heart begiin to race as we drew nearer to the place
Where they say that death is waiting in the dark
The slamming doors of iron echoed through the halls
Where dispair holds life within its cruel claws
But then I met a man whose face seemed so strangely out of place
A blinding light of hope was shining in his eyes
And with repentance in his voice he told me of his tragic choice
That led him to this place where he must pay the price
But then his voice grew strong as he began to tell
About the One he said had rescued him for hell, he said...

I'm free, yeah, oh, I have been forgiven
God's love has taken off my chains and given me these wings
And I'm free, yeah, yeah, and the freedom I've been given
Is something that not even death can take away from me
Because I'm free
Jesus set me free

We said a prayer and said goodbye and tears began to fill my eyes
As I stepped back out into the blinding sun
And even as I drove away I found that I could not escape
The way he spoke of what the grace of God had done
I thought about how sin had sentenced us to die
And how God gave His only Son so you and I could say...

And if the Son has set you free
Oh, if the Son has set you free
Then you are free indeed
Oh, you are really free
If the Son has set you free
Oh, if the Son has set you free
Then you are free, really, really free

Oh, we're free yeah, oh, we have been forgiven
God's grace has broken every chain and given us these wings
And we're free, yeah, yeah, and the freedom we've been given
Is something that not even death can take from you and me
Because we're free, yeah, the freedom we've been given
Is something that not even death can take away from me
Because we're free, oh, we're free
We are free, we are free
The Son has set us free

If the Son has set you free
You are free indeed

G To H Lyrics

Go There With You

I know you've heard me say these words before
But every time I say I love you the words mean something more
I spoke them as a promise right from the start
I said death would be the only thing that could tear us apart
And now that you are standing on the edge of the unknown
I love you means I'll be with you wherever you must go

chorus
I will take a heart whose nature is to beat for me alone
And fill it up with you - make all your joy and pain my own
No matter how deep a valley you go through
I will go there with you
And I will give myself to love the way Love gave itself for me
And climb with you to mountaintops or swim a raging sea
To the place where one heart is made from two
I will go there with you

I see it in your tears - you wonder where you are
The wind is growing colder and the sky is growing dark
Though it's something neither of us understands
We can walk through this together if we hold each other's hand
I said for better or worse I'd be with you
So no matter where you're going I will go there too

chorus
I will take a heart whose nature is to beat for me alone
And fill it up with you - make all your joy and pain my own
No matter how deep a valley you go through
I will go there with you

bridge
I known sometimes I let you down
But I won't let you go - we'll always be together
(chorus)

God Follower

My heart is restless as I wander through this jungle
The trees above refuse to let the sunlight through
And somewhere deep inside I hear the whispered longings
That tell me I was made for more than this

A blinding flash of light falls down into the darkness
Slowly I notice strange new markings on the trail
The crimson drops are calling out to me come and follow
"I am the God who made you, let Me show you how to live"
And I cry…

I want to be a God follower
I want to go wherever He leads
I want to be a God follower
I want to walk the trail He’s marked for me
And be a God follower
(More than anything)

And now I journey on with purpose and with passion
Just like a dead man who’s been given breath again
And though this path can still grow dark with tears and sorrow
I know He will never leave me
So with everything I am I will say…

And when I reach God’s place
I will look into His face
And then I’ll look for you
Will I find you there?
Can you say with me…
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower

God Is God

And the pain falls like a curtain
On the things I once called certain
And I have to say the words I fear the most
I just dont know

And the questions without answers
Come and paralyze the dancer
So I stand here on the stage afraid to move
Afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must
On this truth that my life has been formed from the dust

chorus:
God is God and I am not
I can only see a part of the picture Hes painting
God is God and I am man
So Ill never understand it all
For only God is God

And the sky begins to thunder
And Im filled with awe and wonder
Til the only burning question that remains
Is who am I

Can I form a single mountain
Take the stars in hand and count them
Can I even take a breath without God giving it to me
He is first and last before all that has been
Beyond all that will pass

chorus

Oh, how great are the riches of His wisdom and knowledge
How unsearchable for to Him and through Him and from Him are all things

So let us worship before the throne
Of the One who is worthy of worship alone

chorus

God Is With Us

One of us is crying
As our hopes and dreams
Are led away in chains
And we're left all alone
And one of us is dying
As are love

Is slowly lowered in the grave
Oh, and we're left on our own
But for all of us who journey
Through the dark abyss of lonliness
There comes a great announcement
"We are never alone"

For the One who made each heart that breaks
The Giver of each breath we take
Has come to earth
And given hope its birth

(chorus)
And our God is with us, Emmanuel
And He's come to save us, Emmanuel
And we will never face life alone
Now that God has made Himself known
As Father and Friend, with us through the end
Emmanuel

He spoke with prophets' voices
And He showed Himself in a cloud of fire
But no one had seen His face
Until the One most holy
Revealed to us His perfect heart's desire
And left His rightful place
And in one glorious moment
All eternity was shaken

As God broke through the darkness
That had kept us apart
And with love that conquers lonliness
And hope that fills all emptiness
He came to earth to show our worth

(chorus)
So rejoice, oh, rejoice
Emmanuel has come

(chorus)

Going Home For Christmas

Her house was where the family gathered every Christmas eve;
A feast was set on the table and gifts were placed beneath the tree.
Everything was picture perfect, Grandpa would laugh and say,
That woman spends the whole year getting ready for this day.

One year the leaves began to fall and her health began to fade;
We moved her to a place where they could watch her night and day.
But she kept making plans for Christmas from her little room;
She told everyone, I'll miss you but I'll be leaving soon.

I'm going home for Christmas and I'm going home to stay;
I'm going home for Christmas and nothing's gonna keep me away.
I'll be with the ones I love to celebrate the Savior's birth;
This gift will be worth more to me than anything on earth.
I'm going home, home for Christmas.

All the leaves outside have fallen to be covered by the snow;
The family comes with food and gifts and Grandpa comes alone.
There's a sadness in our silence as the Christmas story's read,
And with tears, Grandpa reminds us of the words that Grandma said.

I'm going home for Christmas and I'm going home to stay;
I'm going home for Christmas and nothing's gonna keep me away.
She'll be face to face with Jesus as we celebrate His birth,
And this gift will be worth more to her than anything on earth,
'Cause she'll be home.

And as we sing 'Joy to the World' I can't help thinking
Of the joy that's in her eyes right now.
And though our hearts still ache, we know that as we celebrate,
She's singing with the herald angels and heaven's glowing on her face.

And now she's home for Christmas and now she's home to stay;
She's home for Christmas, and nothin' could've kept her away.
She'll be face to face with Jesus, as we celebrate His birth,
And this gift will be worth more to her than anything on earth.
She's home, she's home for Christmas.
She is home, she's home for Christmas.

Got To Be True

G-O-T-T-O-B-T-R-U
Well normally at this point you'd hear me sing
And I'd be doing that acoustic guitar thing
So by now you're probably wondering what's going on
'Cause this is really starting to sound like one of those rap songs
Well let me tell you what the boy's up to
You see I like rap music and the beat box groove
And sometimes I gotta admit I close all the doors
And wave my arms around and I pace the floor
But then I crack up laughing, I gotta stop
And just face the facts the boy don't hip hop
You see I grew up in a state where the grass is blue
So if it's gonna be believable it's got to b tru

chorus
It's got to b tru I've gotta be living what I say I believe
It's got to b tru even when nobody but Jesus is watching me
It's got to b tru every single minute of every day
If anybody's ever gonna look at me and say hey it's got to b tru

You hear me saying that it's got to b tru
And no my homeboy Toby wants to talk to you

Tru check it out I got a next door neighbor
And i can tell he's been watching my behavior
Yo he's heard that I'm a Christian guy
He wants to know if that's the truth or a lie
He's got a list of reasons not to believe
Like doubt, dissolution, hypocrisy
It's gonna take some living proof to break through those walls
Yea, it's got to b tru if he'll believe at all
(chorus)
Whoa it's got to b tru, gotta let the light of Jesus' love come shining thru
(chorus)
So yo
(chorus)
It's got to b tru
(3x)
I gotta let the light of Jesus' love come shining thru
(chorus)

Great Expectations

The morning finds me here at heaven's door
A place I've been so many times before
Familiar thoughts and phrases start to flow
And carry me to places that I know so well
But dare I go where I don't understand
And do I dare remember where I am
I stand before the great eternal throne
The one that God Himself is seated on
And I, I've been invited as a son
Oh I, I've been invited to come and ...

Believe the unbelievable
Receive the inconceivable
And see beyond my wildest imagination
Lord, I come with great expectations

So wake the hope that slumbers in my soul
Stir the fire inside and make it glow
I'm trusting in a love that has no end
The Savior of this world has called me friend
And I, I've been invited with the Son
Oh I, I've been invited to come and ...

We've been invited with the Son
And we've been invited to come and ...

Believe the unbelievable
Receive the inconceivable
And see beyond our wildest imagination
Lord, we come with great expectations

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing The Music Of Christmas

Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled

Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new born King

He’ll Take Care Of The Rest

You know, it ain't no use
Banging your head
Up against a cold stone wall
'Cause no one perfect
Except for the Lord--
Even the best's bound to fall

Remember,
He is the vine
And you are the branch
He loves to get you through it if you give him a chance
You just keep doing your best
And pray that it's blessed
And Jesus takes care of the rest

(chorus)
Yes the Lord said He'll take care of the rest
He's gonna do it!
He'll take care of the rest
He'll see you through it, yeah
He'll take care of the rest
The devil blew it!
(Old pharaoh blew it)
(His neighbors blew it)
Well He'll take care of the--
He'll take care of the rest

You just think about Moses
In front of the burning bush
Barefoot on the holy ground
You know he must've been thinking
"Hey, what's an old dude like me
Gonna tell 'em of when I go down?" (oh yeah, Moses)

But the Lord said
"Hey Mo, don't you worry about goin' down south
'Cause I'll be sayin' every word that comes out of your mouth
You just keep doing your best
And pray that it's blessed
And hey Mo, I'll take care of the rest"

(chorus)

Just believe
And you'll receive
That comfort you need
You just think about all those lonely people you know
They've got everything they want
But they've got empty souls

But he'll take care of the--
He'll take care of the--
Care of the rest!

You just think about Noah
Shoulderin' his umbrella
When there wasn't a cloud in the sky
All his neighbors would laugh
At his pet giraffe
And they would oh-ho, snicker as he passed by

But the Lord said
"Be cool - you just keep building that boat
It's just a matter of time
'Til they see who's gonna float
You just keep doing your best
And pray that it's blessed
And hey Noah, Ill take care of the rest
I'm THE weather man

(chorus)

He'll take care of the rest
He's gonna do it!
He'll take care of the rest
Oh, now Jesus will see you through it
He'll take care of the rest
Yes, yes, yes
He'll take care of the--
He'll take care of the--
He'll take care of the rest...

Heart’s Cry

This is my heart's cry
I want to know the one who saved me and gave me life
This is my heart's cry to be so close to Him that all my life becomes
A testimony of my Savior's grace and love
This is my heart's cry

This is my heart's cry
Much more than just a great desire - it's like a fire in me
I hear my heart cry each time I think about the cross where Jesus died
The cross should have been mine but His love broke through time
And heard my heart's cry - he heard my heart's cry

Now every other hope and dream is lost inside of this one thing
To know the one who died for me and live my life for Jesus Christ
Is my heart's cry

(Instrumental)

So let my life become a testimony of my Savior's grace and love
Oh - this is my heart's cry - to stand before the Father one day
And hear Him say well done - this is my heart's cry

Heartbeat Of Heaven

Loving, joyful, peaceful, patient
Kind and good and full of faith
Self-controlled and gentle
Oh the heart of heaven beats this way

I pulled up to the stop sign and I saw him standing there
The cardboard sign he held said he was hungry
I looked the other way and waited for the light to change
As if to say, I'd help but I'm in such a hurry
These are the moments of truth
What would love have me do

Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want you to be my own
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want my life to show
The kind of love that comes and goes
With the heartbeat of heaven

I know at times this heart of mine beats only for itself
Full of thoughts and dreams, plans and problems
But this heart beating here in me belongs to someone else
He bought it with His life to show His love
This is my prayer, Lord, today
Let this heart beat away

Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want you to be my own
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want my life to show
The kind of love that comes and goes
With the heartbeat of heaven

Loving, joyful, peaceful, patient
Kind and good and full of faith
Self-controlled and gentle
Oh the heart of heaven beats this way
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want you to be my own
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want my life to show
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want you to be my own
Oh, heartbeat of heaven, I want my life, I want my life to show

Heartbeat Of Hope

he taste of my tears
The day I watched you drift away
And I remember
Before you disappeared
I started hoping for the day
When I'd see your face
And look in your eyes
Feel your embrace
And we'd never say goodbye
I can hear it in the baby's cry
In a mother's lullaby
Everytime the morning sky
Begins to glow
I can feel it pounding deep inside
It's keeping faith alive
And i will not let it die
The heartbeat of hope
I am learning
I'm learning as I go
Just how thankful hope can be
The ache of yearning
Can never let you go
It has become a part of me
But pure are the longings
Holding on and holding out
I'll keep holding to the one thing
I know I can not live without
I can hear it in the baby's cry
In a mother's lullaby
Everytime the morning sky
Begins to glow
I can feel it pounding deep inside
It's keeping faith alive
And i will not let it die
Because it's more
Than something I believe in
It's a song that makes me dance
When my feet refuse to move
It's the wind that bumps the water
That I can not get through
I can hear it in the baby's cry
In a mother's lullaby
Everytime the morning sky
Begins to glow
I can feel it pounding deep inside
It's keeping faith alive
And I will not let it die
The heartbeat of hope
I will not let it die
The heartbeat of hope
I will not let it die
It's keeping faith alive
It's the heartbeat of hope
Keep it alive
The heartbeat of hope
I will not let it die
No, I will not let it die
Keep it alive
Keep alive
The heartbeat of hope

Heaven In The Real World

I saw it again today in the face of a little child
Looking through the eyes of fear and uncertainty
It echoed in a cry for freedom across the street and across the miles
Cries from the heart to find the missing part

chorus
Where is the hope, where is the peace?
That will make this life complete
For every man, woman, boy, and girl
Looking for heaven in the real world

To stand in the pouring rain and believe the sun will shine again
To know that the grave is not the end
To feel the embrace of grace and cross the line where real life begins
And know in your heart you've found the missing part

chorus
There is a hope, there is a peace
That will make this life complete
For every man, woman, boy, and girl
Looking for heaven in the real world
Heaven in the real world

bridge
It happened one night with a tiny baby's birth
God heard creation crying and He sent heaven to earth

chorus
He is the hope, He is the peace
That will make this life complete
For every man, woman, boy and girl
Looking for heaven in the real world

(chorus)

Hiding Place

In the distance I can see the storm clouds coming my way,
And I need to find a shelter
Before it starts to rain,
So I turn and run to you Lord;
You're the only place to go,
Where unfailing love surrounds me
When I need it most.

chorus
You're my hiding place;
Safe in your embrace,
I'm protected from the storm that rages
When the waters rise,
And I run to hide;
Lord, in You I find my hiding place.

I'm not asking You to take away
My troubles, Lord,
'Cause it's through the stormy weather
I learn to trust You more.
And I thank You for Your promise;
I have come to know
Your unfailing love surrounds me
When I need it most.

(chorus)

So let Your people seek You
While You may be found,
'Cause You're our only refuge
When the rain comes pouring down.

(chorus)

Higher Ways

If I could only fly
I'd go up and look down from the sky
So I could see the bigger picture
And Lord if I could sit with You
At Your feet for an hour or two
I'm sure I'd ask too many questions
'Cause there's so much going on down here
That I must confess I just don't understand

bridge
But I have prayed
And at your feet my whole life has been laid
So I wont worry I wont be afraid
'Cause my soul is resting on Your higher ways
Let the road ahead become unclear
I am Yours so what have I to fear
If my soul is resting on Your higher ways

chorus
Your higher ways teach me to trust You
Your higher ways are not like mine
Your higher ways are the ways of the Father
Hiding His children in His love

bridge
So let it rain
And if my eyes grow dim with tears of pain
This hope I have will not be washed away
'Cause my soul is resting on Your higher ways

Maybe then You will take me aside
And show me the bigger picture
But until I'm with You
I'll be here with a heart that is true
And a soul that's resting on
Your higher ways

His Eyes

Sometimes His eyes were gentle
And filled with laughter,
And sometimes they cried;
Sometimes there was a fire
Of holy anger,
In Jesus’ eyes.
But the eyes that saw hope in the hopeless,
That saw through the fault to the need,
Are the same eyes that look down from heaven
Into the deepest part of you and me.

chorus
His eyes are always upon us;
His eyes never close in sleep.
And no matter where you go,
You will always be in His eyes, in His eyes.

Sometimes His voice comes calling
Like rolling thunder,
Or like driving rain;
And sometimes His voice is quiet,
And we start to wonder
If He knows our pain.
But He who spoke peace to the water
Cares more for our hearts than the waves,
And the voice that once said "You’re forgiven",
Still says "You’re forgiven" today.

Sometimes I look above me when stars are shining
And I feel so small;
How could the God of heaven and all creation
Know I’m here at all.
But then in silence He whispers,
"My child, I created you too
And you’re my most precious creation;
I even gave my Son for you."

(chorus)

Sometimes His eyes were gentle, and filled with laughter.

His Strength Is Perfect

I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength,
But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me;
No great success to show, No glory on my own,
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know . . .

chorus
His strength is perfect when our strength is gone;
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.
Raised in His power, the weak become strong;
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect.

We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes;
His strength in us begins
Where ours comes to an end.
He hears our humble cry and proves again . . .

(chorus)

Hold On To Jesus

I have come to this ocean
And the waves of fear are starting to grow
The doubts and questions are rising with the tide
So I'm clinging to the one sure thing I know

I will hold on to the hand of my Savior
And I will hold on with all my might
I will hold loosely to things that are fleeting
And hold on to Jesus
I will hold on to Jesus for life

I've tried to hold many treasures
They just keep slipping through my fingers like sand
But there's one treasure that means more than breath itself
So I'm clinging to it with everything I am

Like a child holding on to a promise
I will cling to His word and believe
As I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ Jesus took hold of me

Hold on for life

Holding A Mystery

I know that look on your face
I know the secrets you tell
You're every mood I can trace
I guess I could say I know you well
But how can I say I know you well

Cause when I look in your eyes
I see a million miles across an endless sea
I wanna sail the waves and make the great discovery
And when I hold you in my arms
The beating of your heart is calling out to me
I'm holding a mystery

How many songs will be sung?
How many words will be said?
How many stories of love
Lie deep within you
Waiting to be read
And I want your story to be read

Cause when I look in your eyes
I see a million miles across an endless sea
I wanna sail the waves and make the great discovery
And when I hold you in my arms
The beating of your heart is calling out to me
I'm holding a mystery

The beating of your heart
Is calling out to me
Only a God of endless wisdom, love and mercy
Could have created such a wonder as you

I hear the beating of your heart calling out to me
I'm holding a mystery

How Do I Love Her?

Well you know it's not the first time
And it will not be the last
When you find me here on my knees
Praying for the storm to pass
But what I am really needing
Is much more than just relief
I am crying out for wisdom
Only you can give to me
'Cause it's such a mystery
I'm a clueless man when it comes
To knowing how to love a woman

How do I love her
How do I let her know she means more than anything to me
How do I love her

Out of all the gifts you've given
Besides the very gift of life
There is none as precious to me
As the treasure of my wife
And still all the love in my heart
Is like a raindrop to the sea
When compared to your love for her
And that's why I'm asking please
Will you teach me what she needs
I'm an earnest man when it comes
To learning how to love this woman

How do I love her
How do I let her know she means more than anything to me
How do I love her

Well I know it's gonna take a lifetime
To answer this prayer I pray
But that okay
'Cause I've given you and her my lifetime anyway

How do I love her
How do I let her know she means more than anything to me
How do I love her

How do I love her, love her
Tell me please
How do I love her
How do I love her
Won't you tell me, tell me please
How do I love her
Tell me please
Tell me, tell me, tell me
How do I love her
How do I love her

I To K Lyrics

I Am Found In You

I Am Found In You - Chapman Steven Curtis
The sun sinks low and here I go
Wrestling with the questions that refuse an answer
This path of faith can be a place
So barren of what I understand
I can hear the voice of fear
Saying let me show you another way
So I cry out my Lord, Jesus
It's in Your love for me
I find all that I need

SO WHERE ELSE COULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE MADE ME WHOLE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
FOR I AM FOUND IN YOU

I may not see in front of me
But I can see for miles when I look over my shoulder
And Lord, it's clear
You've brought me here
So faithful every step of the way
What can I do but follow You
For You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life
And You've promised never to leave me
My Saviour, my friend
From beginning to end

SO WHERE ELSE COULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE MADE ME WHOLE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
FOR I AM FOUND IN YOU
Lord, without You
This child would be so lost
But I've been found in You
And now I'm bound to You
By the love that You've shown
It will not let me go

SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE COULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE COULD I GO
FOR I HAVE FOUND IN YOU
ALL I'VE BEEN MADE FOR
SO THERE'S NO WHERE ELSE I COULD GO
I AM FOUND IN YOU

I Believe In You

Verse 1:
Aren't you the little one
That hid in my arms afraid of the thunder
Are these the little hands
That held so tight to mine

Didn't we both agree you'd never grow up
And now here we are, and here you go
Of all the things I want to say
The thing you really need to know is...

chorus A:
I believe in you
I believe in you
Everything you are
Everything you are becoming

And I believe in you
I believe in you
So spread your wings and fly
On the winds of knowing
I always believe in you

Verse 2:
So many prayers we've prayed
so many dreams to get to this moment
Now this is where we stay
While you go change the world

But I'll be where I have always been
Up in the stands cheering you on and singing this song
A song the very God who made you
Has been singing all along

chorus B:
I believe in you
Yeah, I believe in you
So spread your wings and fly
On the winds of knowing
I will always believe in you

Bridge:
And when you rise and when you fall
I'll still believe in you
Just close your eyes and hear me calling
I believe in You
Oh, I believe in you

I Do Believe

Sitting in a traffic jam
11:52 PM
Just a few miles south
Of Cincinnati, Ohio
I take my pen and start to write
The thoughts that fill my head tonight
Nothing terribly profound
Just these simple words that keep my heart anchored down
They keep my restless heart anchored down

I do I do I do I do believe
I know I know I know I know it's true
I do I do I do I do believe
Lord I believe in You
I believe in You

Now these can be confusing times
The skeptics, fools, and nice wives
It can be hard to see the light
Through all the shadows of the doubt
But You keep saying all the while
It takes the vision of a child
Looking through the eyes of faith
To see reality
So once again I will say
I believe You're the Light, You're the Truth, You're the Way

And if this faith in you in blind
It's not to anything that's true
'Cause Your love opens up my eyes
To see that everything I need
Is found when I believe in You

I Will Be Here

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I, I will be here
If in the dark we lose sight of love
Hold my hand and have no fear
'Cause I, I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to crying
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
'Cause I will be here

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I, I will be here
As sure as seasons are made for change
Our lifetimes are made for years
So I, I will be here

I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you
And I will be here

To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here

I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me

I will be here
And just as sure as seasons are made for change
Our lifetimes are made for years
So I, I will be here
We'll be together
I will be here

I Will Not Go Quietly

I was born with an angel whispering in my ear
Telling me sacred secrets that God wanted me to hear
And I have lived to tell the mysteries I've been told
And even when they tell me it's my time to go

chorus
No I will not, No I will not
Not go quietly
No I will not, No I will not
Not go quietly no, no, Not go quietly no, no
Not go quietly

These things I tell, they are much true
Than the heart of he who speaks
Even so, this humble servant
Can not help but talk about his king
So I will sing 'cause I can't hold back the song
I shout and scream, Until God takes me home

chorus

Bridge
So How can I keep silent?
So how can I not speak?
And tell about the saviour
Who has set this prisoner free?

chorus

I’ll Take Care Of You

I'll take care of you
Don't be sad, don't be blue
I'll never break your heart in two
I'll take care of you
I'll kiss your tears away
I'll end your lonely days
All that I'm really tryin' to say
Is I'll take care of you

I want you to know that I love you so
I'm proud to tell the world you're mine
I said it before, I'll say it once more
You'll be in my heart 'til the end of time

I'll take care of you
Don't be sad, don't be blue
Just count on me your whole life through
'Cause I'll take care of you

I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)

When I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you

When I'm lonely well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man whose lonely without you
When I'm dreaming well I know I'm gonna dream
I'm gonna dream about the time when I'm with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I'll do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you
When I come home yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm dreaming well I know I'm gonna dream
Dream about the time when I'm with you
And when I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
And when I go out well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
When I come home yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

In This Little Room

In this little room I put my pen to the paper,
To write what’s in my heart down on a page;
With every line, a silent prayer is being lifted
That the song will somehow find its way
From this little room to your heart.

In this little room with just a microphone to hear me,
I sing what’s in my heart while the music plays;
And with every line, a silent prayer is being lifted
That the song will somehow find its way
From this little room to your heart.

I close my eyes imagining your faces;
I see the smiles, the tears, the joys, the pain.
We may be strangers but I can give this song to you,
Because the One who gave me this song knows your name,
He knows your name, He knows your name.

In this little room tonight I’ll be praying,
As Jesus comes to meet you where you are,
We’ll hear His voice together if we listen,
And we’ll find it’s really not that far
From this little room, from this little room,
From this little room to your heart.

It’s All About Love

[John 13:34-35, Colossians 3:12-14, 1 Peter 4:8, Galatians 5:6b]

We've got CD sets and videos, radio and TV shows
Conferences, retreats and seminars
We've got books and magazines to read on everything from A to Z
And a web to surf from anywhere we are
But I hope with all this information buzzing through our brains
That we will not let our hearts forget the most important thing

Is love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love
It's all about love

Now they're fighting in the middle east
And they're fighting down on Seventh Street
And there are fights in my own house on given days
It's like something's lurking deep inside
That can't seem to be satisfied
But life was not meant to be lived this way
'Cause it's true for every man and woman
Every boy and girl
That our only hope for living here together in this world

Is love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love

This is the reason we were made
To know the love of our Creator
And to give the love He's given us away
Yeah, the Maker, and the Father, and the God of everything
He says to love, love, love
He says love, love, love
Love, love, love
'Cause after all, it's all about love

Gods says love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love, love, love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love
'Cause after all, it's all about love

That's right, yeah (laugh)
Woo!
It's all about, yea yea
It's all about
All about love, love, love, love, love
It's all about love, love, love

After all don't you know?
That it really all comes down to love
After all don't you know that
Gonna tell you what it's all about, yeah
Yeah, it's all about love
Yeah, it's all about love, yeah
It's all about love,
Love, love, love

Jesus Is Life

Ladies and Gentleman, children of all ages
Anyone listening, I’ve got an announcement to make
There’s been some confusion about a certain someone
A lot of discussion and a lot of debate
So if I may take just a moment to say who Jesus is to me

Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
The air I’m breathing
Why my heart is beating
Everything I’m needing
Jesus is life
Jesus is life

Imagine the deepest sea without a drop of water
An infinite galaxy without even one single star
That’s how I would be…so absolutely empty
Without Jesus’ life in me there’d be no life at all
More than just a part, He’s the very heart of everything I am

This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position my life by definition

Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life

King Of The Jungle

Well the day has just begun and I'm already running late
With too many irons in the fire and too much on my plate
I'd be pulling out my hair if I could just get one hand free
And I'd stop this world if I could find the key

chorus
What I see is telling me I'm going crazy, but
What is real says God's still on His throne
What I need is to remember one thing
That the Lord of the gentle breeze is Lord of the rough and tumble
And He is King of the Jungle Yes he is

People say this world's a jungle and sometimes I must admit
I'd be scared to death if I did not know who was king of it
But the truth is God created this whole world with His own hand
So everything is under His command

(chorus)

K-I-N-G of the J-U-N-G-L-E
He is the king of creation
K-I-N-G of the J-U-N-G-L-E
Ruler of the earth and sky and the sea
K-I-N-G of the J-U-N-G-L-E
He's always in control
He is the King of kings

(chorus)

L To M Lyrics

Land Of Opportunity

The sun sinks low and here I go
Wrestling with the questions that refuse an answer
This path of faith can be a place
So barren of what I understand
I can hear the voice of fear
Saying let me show you another way
So I cry out my Lord, Jesus
It's in Your love for me
I find all that I need

SO WHERE ELSE COULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE MADE ME WHOLE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
FOR I AM FOUND IN YOU

I may not see in front of me
But I can see for miles when I look over my shoulder
And Lord, it's clear
You've brought me here
So faithful every step of the way
What can I do but follow You
For You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life
And You've promised never to leave me
My Saviour, my friend
From beginning to end

SO WHERE ELSE COULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE MADE ME WHOLE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO
FOR I AM FOUND IN YOU

Lord, without You
This child would be so lost
But I've been found in You
And now I'm bound to You
By the love that You've shown
It will not let me go

SO WHERE ELSE WOULD I TURN
AND WHERE ELSE COULD I GO
YOU HAVE GIVEN ME LIFE
YOU HAVE RESCUED MY SOUL
SO WHERE ELSE COULD I GO
FOR I HAVE FOUND IN YOU
ALL I'VE BEEN MADE FOR
SO THERE'S NO WHERE ELSE I COULD GO
I AM FOUND IN YOU

Let Us Pray

I hear you say your heart is aching
We´ve got trouble in the making
And you ask if I´ll be praying for you please
And in keeping with convention
I´ll say yes with good intentions
To pray later making mention of your needs
But since we have this moment here at heaven´s door
We should start knocking now, what are we waiting for?

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
For the Father above, He is listening with love
And He wants to answer us, so let us pray

So when we feel the Spirit moving
Prompting, prodding and behooving
There is no time to be losing, let us pray
Let the Father hear us saying
What we need to be conveying
Even while this song is playing, let us pray
And just because we say the word, Amen
It doesn´t mean this conversation needs to end

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
Let us pray without end and when we finish start again
Like breathing out and breathing in, let us pray

Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence
As our prayers draw us near
To the One who knows our needs
Before we even call His name

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
For the Father above, He is listening with love
And He wants to answer us, so let us pray
Let us pray everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
Let us pray without end and when we finish start again
Like breathing out and breathing in, let us pray

Listen To Our Hearts

Verse 1:
How do you explain,
How do you describe,
A love that goes from east to west,
And runs and deep as it is wide?

You know all our hopes
Lord, you know all our fears
And words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for You to hear

chorus:
So listen to our hearts (oh, Lord, please listen)
Hear our spirits sing (and hear us sing)
A song of praise that flows (a simple song of praise)
From those You have redeemed (from those You have redeemed)
We will use the words we know
To tell You what an awesome God You are
But words are not enough
To tell You of our love
So listen to our hearts

Verse 2:
If words could fall like rain
From these lips of mine
And if I had a thousand years
I would still run out of time

So if You listen to my heart
Every beat would say,
“Thank You for the Life, thank You for the Truth, thank You for the Way.”

[chorus]

Live Out Loud

Imagine this... I get a phone call from Regis
He says, "Do you want to be a millionare?"
They put me on the show and I win with two lifelines to spare
Now picture this... I act like nothing ever happened
And bury all the money in a coffee can
Well, I've been given more than Regis ever gave away
I was a dead man who was called to come out of my grave

And I think it's time for makin' some noise

Wake the neighbors, get the word out
Come on... crank up the music... climb a mountain and shout
This is life we've been given made to be lived out
So la la la la live out loud
Live out loud, yeah

Think about this... try to keep a bird from singing
After it's soared up in the sky
Give the sun a cloudless day and tell it not to shine
Now think about this... if we really have been given
The gift of a life that will never end
And if we have been filled with living hope we're gonna overflow
And if God's love is burning in our hearts we're gonna glow
There's just no way to keep it in

Everybody, come on
La la la... la la la la
La la la live out loud
I want to hear everybody sing
La la la... la la la la
La la la live out loud, loud loud

Every corner of creation is a living declaration
Come join the song were made to sing

Living For The Moment

He prayed the prayer one Sunday morning;
He really meant the words he said.
She prayed and gave her heart to Jesus,
One night while kneeling by her bed.

So many start on this journey,
But they never make it out of the door;
Their lives are caught in a moment in time,
But there’s so much more.

chorus
Than living for the moment when he’s given us a lifetime,
Living for the moment letting hours pass right by;
It’s gonna take forever to discover all that Jesus has in store,
So live for every moment,

And live every moment for the Lord.

There are some mountains on our pathway;
Sometimes we reach the very top,
We like the feeling of the moment.

Sometimes that’s where we’d like to stop,
But we’ve been given these moments
To encourage us along the way.
Now Jesus wants us to move ahead growin’ every day.

(chorus)

This is the day that the Lord has created;
This is the day that He has made
To take us where our faith has never been before.

(chorus)

Lord Of The Dance

On the bank of the Tennessee River
In a small Kentucky town
I drew my first breath one cold November morning
And before my feet even touched the ground
With the doctors and the nurses gathered ´round
I started to dance
I started to dance

A little boy full of wide-eyed wonder
Footloose and fancy free
But it would happen, as it does for every dancer
That I´d stumble on a truth I couldn´t see
And find a longing deep inside of me, it said . . .

I am the heart, I need the heartbeat
I am the eyes, I need the sight
I realize that I am just a body
I need the life
I move my feet, I go through the motions
But who´ll give purpose to chance
I am the dancer
I need the Lord of the dance

The world beneath us spins in circles
And this life makes us twist and turn and sway
But we were made for more than rhythm with no reason
By the one who moves with passion and with grace
As He dances over all that He has made

I am the heart, He is the heartbeat
I am the eyes, He is the sight
And I see clearly, I am just a body
He is the life
I move my feet, I go through the motions
But He gives purpose to chance
I am the dancer
He is the Lord of the dance
Lord of the dance
Lord of the dance

And while the music of His love and mercy plays
I will fall down on my knees and I will pray

I am the heart, You are the heartbeat
I am the eyes, You are the sight
And I see clearly, I am just a body
You are the life
I move my feet, I go through the motions
But You give purpose to chance
I am the dancer
You are the Lord of the dance
I am the dancer
You are the Lord of the dance

Lost In The Shadows

I wake to the sound of different voices calling my name
Two little ones who want to start another day
And one voice that's calling
Take up your cross and come follow me

chorus
I want to get lost
In the shadow of the cross
To answer the call surrender it all
In the shadow
I want to live each (this) day
With a humble heart
That's ready to pay
Whatever it cost, to find myself lost
In the shadow of the cross

Living beneath the burden of this cross I carry
I'm finding more of Christ and losing more of me
So I'll hide in His shadow
Until I am nothing and He is everything

chorus
The voices that call to me like my little ones are sleeping
But here in the shadow there's one whisper
I still hear

chorus

Love And Learn

Echoes of careless words and slamming doors
Are still ringing in the night
I've taken my side and you've taken yours
We're both wrong and we're both right
Once again misunderstanding has turned us into enemies
I will forgive you, will you forgive me?

chorus
Love and learn, that's what we will do
Love and lean through the flood and through the flame
This world will turn and the seasons will change
But there's nothing we can't get through
As long as we both hold on to the hand of God and each other
And take a lifetime to love and learn

We start out believing we know love so well
But through the years we find
True love is a story only time can tell
And God has made this lifetime yours and mine

(chorus)

bridge
So until that day when one of us
Has to lay the other in the arms of Jesus
I will be with you and you will be with me

(chorus)

Love You With My Life

There is a pressing question
My heart’s been asking me:
When I say "I love You Lord",
What does it mean?

I know it’s one thing to say it,
And another thing to do;
How can I show you it’s true?

chorus
I’m gonna love You with my life.
I wanna love You with my life.
I’m gonna listen and obey, I’m gonna live these words I say.
I’m gonna love You with my life.

Some people love with money;
Some people love with words;
Some people love because they love the returns;
Yet with all these complications,
The greatest love is always found
In the one who lays his life down.

(chorus)

He said if we love Him,
We’re gonna do the things He told us,
Walk the path He showed us;
So if you love Him, show Him it’s true in how you’re living.
If you mean it, say it with me.

(chorus)

Magnificent Obsession

Lord, You know how much
I want to know so much
In the way of answers and explanations
I have cried and prayed
And still I seem to stay
In the middle of life’s complications
All this pursuing leaves me feeling like I’m chasing down the wind
But now it’s brought me back to You
And I can see again

This is everything I want
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You, Jesus
Be my magnificent obsession

So capture my heart again
Take me to depths I’ve never been
Into the riches of Your grace and Your mercy
Return me to the cross
And let me be completely lost
In the wonder of the love
That You’ve shown me
Cut through these chains that tie me down to so many lesser things
Let all my dreams fall to the ground
Until this one remains

You are everything I want
And You are everything I need
Lord, You are all my heart desires
You are everything to me

You are everything I want
You are everything I need
I want You to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You
I want it all to be for You

Maria

Maria -she's too young to understand, but old enough to fell the pain
Of living where no love can grow with no hope for change
Maria - her world is an angry place but she makes sure that scars don't show
And with every hurt her tender heart is growing cold (but)

chorus
Who, who's gonna love Maria
Who, who's gonna touch her with the tenderness she longs for
Like a desert longs for rain
She's got a hunger deep inside and with every tear she cries
She wonders if there's someone out there somewhere
Who's gonna love Maria

(Maria) she looks in the mirror now and the little girl is gone
But still the search for someone's love goes on and on for Maria
But does anybody care or even notice her at all
Is anyone listening close enough to hear her call (and who)

chorus
Who, who's gonna love Maria
Who, who's gonna touch her with the tenderness she longs for
Like a desert longs for rain
She's got a hunger deep inside and with every tear she cries
She wonders if there's someone out there

bridge
Maria if you can hear me, please know that you're not forgotten
Somebody's trying to get to you

(chorus 1)

Miracle Of Mercy

If the truth was known and a light was shown
On every hidden part of my soul
Most would turn away, shake their head and say
he still has such a long way to go
If the truth was know you'd see that the only good in me
Is Jesus, oh it's Jesus

If the walls could speak of the times I've been weak
When everybody thought I was strong
Could I show my face if it weren't for the grace
Of the one who's known the truth all along
If the walls could speak they'd say that my only hope is the grace
Of Jesus, the grace of Jesus

But, oh the goodness and the grace in Him
He takes it all and makes it mine and causes his light in me to shine
And he loves me with a love that never ends
Just as I am not as I do
Could this be real, could this be true
This could only be a miracle
This could only be the miracle of mercy

Miracle Of You

Well I know there have been many who have hurt you
And I know your heart's been broken many times
How I wish that I could say I've never let you down
But I know I'm one of those who've made you cry

So in the whole wide world there's
No one else who will ever
Want to love you any better

I will be the only one
To love you for everything you are
I will be the only one
To really know you in all your glory
I will be the one to see
Everything you wanna be
I will be the only one
To bring out the miracle in you

Like a masterpiece that's waiting to be discovered
Like a treasure that is waiting to be found
There is so much unseen beauty in the heart of yours
And I want to be the one to bring it out

Cause in the whole wide world there's
No one else who will ever
Want to love you any better

I will be the only one
To love you for everything you are
I will be the only one
To really know you in all your glory
I will be the one to see
Everything you gonna be
I will be the only one
To bring out the miracle in you

I'm gonna be the one beside you
When the world is left behind you
You know I'm gonna be the only one

Cause in the whole wide world there's
No one else who will ever
Want to love you any better
No one else who will ever
Want to love you any better

I will be the only one
To love you for everything you are
I will be the only one
To really know you in all your glory
I will be the one to see
Everything you gonna be
I will be the only one
To bring out the miracle in you

Moment Made For Worshipping

6:30 Monday morning
I'm here hiding in my bed
A song plays on my alarm clock
As I cover up my head
But somewhere in the distance
I remember yesterday
Singing "Hallelujah"
Full of wonder, awe and grace
But now I'm just wondering
Why I don't feel anything
At all

This is a moment made for worshipping
Cause this is a moment I'm alive
And this is a moment I was made to sing
A song of living sacrifice
For every moment that I live and breathe
This is a moment made for worshipping

When I'm praying with my children
As they're running off to school
When I kiss my wife good morning
Just to say I still love you
When I'm feeling love and happy
When I'm feeling all alone
When I'm failing to remember
All the love that I've been shown
Every single beat of my heart
Is another new place to start
To know

This is a moment made for worshipping
Cause this is a moment I'm alive
And this is a moment I was made to sing
A song of living sacrifice
For every moment that I live and breathe
This is a moment made for worshipping

Every single beat of my heart
Is another new place to start
Right now

This is a moment made for worshipping
Cause this is a moment I'm alive
And this is a moment I was made to sing
A song of living sacrifice
For every moment that I live and breathe
This is a moment made for worshipping

From the rising of the sun
To the setting the sun
The name of the Lord is worthy to be praised

More Than Words

Lord, I don’t know what to say;
As I get down on my knees to pray,
The same old phrases come to mind,
But You’ve heard them all a thousand times.
It’s not that it’s untrue when I say "Lord, I love You",
It’s just that I want it to be more.

chorus
More than words, I want my prayer to be
More than words, thoughts my heart alone can speak;
As you listen to me tell of all Your power and mercy,
Lord, You know it’s my desire that what You hear is more than words.

As I open up this Book,
And read of all the love it took
For a holy God to care for man;
Spirit, help me understand.
It’s not that it’s unclear, it’s a letter to children,
But Lord I know it’s meant to be much more.

chorus
More than words, not just letters on a page;
More than words, for every line and every phrase
Was a breath of inspiration from a caring Father
Who gave the gift of His Son to prove He loved us more than words.

As I consider quietly the wonder of all Your ability,
It’s more than I can comprehend, and I find myself in need again;
But if I had every word and a thousand years to use them,
What You are to me would still be more, oh, so much more, more than words.

More To This Life

Today I watched in silence as people passed me by,
And I strained to see if there was something hidden in their eyes;
But they all looked at me as if to say
Life just goes on.

The old familiar story told in different ways,
Make the most of your own journey from the cradle to the grave;
Dream your dreams tomorrow because today
Life must go on.

chorus
But there’s more to this life than living and dying,
More than just trying to make it through the day;
More to this life, more than these eyes alone can see,
And there’s more than this life alone can be.

Tonight he lies in silence staring into space,
And looks for ways to make tomorrow better than today,
But in the morning light it looks the same;
Life just goes on.

He takes care of his family, he takes care of his work,
And every Sunday morning he takes his place at the church;
And somehow he still feels a need to search,
But life just goes on.

(chorus)

So where do we start to find every part
Of what makes this life complete;
If we turn our eyes to Jesus we’ll find
Life’s true beginning is there at the cross where He died.
He died to bring us . . .

(chorus)

Much Of You

How could I stand here
And watch the sun rise
Follow the mountains
Where they touch the sky
Ponder the vastness
And the depths of the sea
And think for a moment
The point of it all was to make much of me
Cause I'm just a whisper
And You are the thunder and

I want to make much of You, Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today to give You the praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You

And how can I kneel here
And think of the cross
The thorns and the whip and the nails and the spear
The infinite cost
To purchase my pardon
And bear all my shame
To think I have anything worth boasting in except for Your name
Cause I am a sinner
And You are the Savior

I want to make much of You, Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today to give You the praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You

This is Your love, oh God
Not to make much of me
But to send Your own son
So that we could make much of You
For all eternity

I want to make much of You Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today to give You the praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You

I want to make much of You
Much of You Jesus

My Last Day On Earth

I pull over to the side of the road and
I watch the cars pass me bye
The headlights and the black limousine
Tell me someone is saying goodbye
I bow my head and I whisper a prayer
For the comfort the broken hearts
And as I drive away there’s a thought that I
I cannot escape, no I cannot escape this thought
I can’t get away

chorus:
Oooo… if this should be my last day on this earth
How then shall I live?
Oooo… if this should be the last day that I have
Before I breathe the air of heaven
Let me live in with abandoned too
The only thing that remains after my last day
Here on earth
If this should be my last day here on earth
If this should be my last day here on earth
If this should be my last last day here on earth

And if tomorrow comes to find me
Looking in the face of Jesus
Will I hear him say the words “Well Done”

chorus:
Oooo… if this should be my last day on this earth
How then shall I live?
Oooo… if this should be the last day that I have
Before I breathe the air of heaven
Let me live in with abandoned too
The only one that remains after my last day
Here on earth
If this should be my last day here on earth
If this should be my last last day here on earth
Cause this could be my last this could be my last
This could be my last day

My Redeemer Is Faithful And True

As I look back on the road I've travelled,
I see so many times He carried me through;
And if there's one thing that I've learned in my life,
My Redeemer is faithful and true.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

chorus
My Redeemer is faithful and true.
Everything He has said He will do,
And every morning His mercies are new.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

My heart rejoices when I read the promise
'There is a place I am preparing for you.'
I know someday I'll see my Lord face to face,
'Cause my Redeemer is faithful and true.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

(chorus)
And in every situation He has proved His love to me;
When I lack the understanding, He gives more grace to me.

(chorus)

My Turn Now

Steven Curtis Chapman/Brent Lamb
John 13:16-17

Well, it's my turn now
Yes, it's my turn now
My turn to give my life away

I close the book and I shake my head
Sometimes I can't believe the things I've read
I don't deserve what He did for me
And now He's asking me to do the same
So I'm gonna give Him all I am
And all I ever hope to be

'Cause it's my turn now
Well, it's my turn now
My turn to give my life away

I open up the book and look again
I read the stories of the faithful men
Who gave up all they had to follow Him
He used the stong and He used the weak
He even gave the timid words to speak
He called whoever listened then
And now His call goes out again

Repeat chorus
My turn to say "I love Him"
My turn to let Him know
My life is His so where He leads me
That's where I will go

Repeat chorus

N To O Lyrics

Next 5 Minutes

I can reminisce about the already
I can worry and fret about the not yet
But when it all comes down, and
It really, really comes down to the right now,
So right now

I'm living the next five minutes
Like these are my last five minutes
Cause I know the next five minutes
May be all I have
And after the next five minutes
Turn into the last five minutes
I'm taking the next five minutes
And start it all over again

Every morning God is given is precious
Every heartbeat, every breath I take
I'll never have them back once they've left us
There will never be another right now,
So right now

This is the day
This is the hour
This is the moment God has made

I'm living the next five minutes
Like these are my last five minutes
Cause I know the next five minutes
May be all I have
And after the next five minutes
Turn into the last five minutes
I'm taking the next five minutes
And start it all over again
I'm starting all over again
Gonna start it all over again

No Better Place

I was eight years old when I decided to follow Jesus
I started down that road
Somebody told me that this path that leads to heaven
Will not be the easy way
Well I found that to be true
But I also found, I found out there's

chorus
No better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven
No other place I'd rather be
No better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven
No better place to be

Well I know this road has a final destination
But I also know that if we're only looking for the prize that's waiting
We'll miss so much along the way
'Cause Jesus came to give us life in the here and now
And to show us that there's

chorus
bridge
I know this path we travel on
Is very straight and narrow
But I've looked down other roads along the way
And from all I've seen I can say without a doubt there's

chorus

No Greater Love

Man of courage with your message of peace
What is that look in your eyes?
Why have you come to this faraway place?
What is this story you would lay down your life to tell?
What kind of love can this be?

There is no greater love than this
There is no greater gift that can ever be given
To be willing to die so another might live
There is no greater love than this

Broken hearted from all you have lost
How can you sing through your tears?
What is this music that can bear such a cost?
What is this fire that grows stronger against the wind?
What kind of flame can this be?

This is the love that God showed the world
When He gave us His Son
So we could know His love forever
Beyond the gates of splendor

Nobody Ever (Only You)

I thought a heart of stone
Would be a safe place
To hide away the brokenness and pain
And I was so sure my empty eyes
Would be the last place
Where light of love would ever shine again

But then with a miracle
You found me
You did what no one else
Could ever do

Nobody ever loved
The way that you love me
Nobody ever saw
What you brought alive in me
Nobody ever knew
How lost I was without you
(nobody else could ever save me)
Nobody ever, only you

I've never ever known
This kind of freedom
I'm like a child dancing in the rain
I didn't even know
That I was locked inside a prison
And only you
Could break me from my chains

No one but you
Knew where to find me
You gave me life I never had before

chorus
nobody ever loved me like you
nobody ever loved me like you

chorus
Nobody ever loved me like You
Nobody ever loved me like You
Nobody ever saw me
And nobody ever knew me
And nobody ever loved me like You
No one else could ever save me
Nobody ever loved me, only You
Nobody ever loved me

Not Home Yet

(chorus 1)

O come All Ye Faithful

O come al ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of angels
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
O sing all ye citizens of heaven above
Glory to God
All glory in the highest
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Yea, Lord we bless thee
Born for our salvation
Oh Jesus, forever be Thy name adored
Word of the Father
Now in flesh appearing
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

O come, O Come Emmanuel

O come, O come Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel
Shall come to Thee, O Israel
Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel
Shall come to Thee, O Israel

Only Getting Started

Verse 1:
I was just a little kid when
I heard about You for the first time
And all I really, really knew for sure
Is You were God, I wanted to know You

And now the years have come and gone
I'm still singing that same song
You might think by now I would have reached the end
But the truth is...

chorus:
I am only just beginning
I am only getting started to know You now
I'm only getting started

And when I start thinking I'm getting close to the end,
You just smile at me and say
"Hey kid, you ain't seen nothing yet"

I'm only getting started
I'm only getting started now

Verse 2:
Now Your love, it is an ocean
Deeper than my deepest notion
Your grace, it is the sky above
It just keeps on going forever

And with every new sunrise
You come and open up my eyes
Show me just a little more of You
And again I see that...

chorus again

Only Natural

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who´s the biggest fool of all
You don´t have to answer me
´Cause when I look at you I see
A prisoner set free from his chains
Acting like he´s still a slave
To the prison he´s been set free from
You may say it´s only natural for me to act his way
Well I know it´s only natural
But I have not been made...

Only natural, only natural
I´ve got the Spirit of the living God alive in me
Giving me power so I don´t have to be
Only natural, only natural

So mirror, mirror look again
You´ve seen the fool that I have been
But did you see the grace that covers me
Not to do anything I please
In fact, grace is the only thing
That makes me what I am not naturally
It´s supernatural power brings life out of the grave
It gives sight to the blind man
And it will not let me stay...

Only natural, only natural
I´ve got the spirit of the living God alive in me
Giving me power so I don´t have to be
Only natural, only natural
I know that on my own I´m only human naturally
But I´ve got the Sprit of the living God alive in me
Giving me power so I don´t have to be...
Only natural, only natural

Our God Is With Us

One of us is cryin’ as our hopes and dreams are led away in chains,
And we’re left all alone;
One of us is dyin’ as our love is slowly lowered in the grave,
Oh and we’re left all alone.
But for all of us who journey through the dark abyss of loneliness
There comes a great announcement - we are never alone -
For the maker of each heart that breaks, the giver of each breath we take
Has come to earth and given hope it’s birth.

chorus
And our God is with us, Emmanuel.
He’s come to save us, Emmanuel.
And we will never face life alone
Now that God has made Himself known,
As Father and Friend, with us through the end, Emmanuel.

He spoke with prophets’ voices and showed Himself in a cloud of fire,
But no one had seen His face;
Until the One Most Holy revealed to us His perfect heart’s desire,
And left His rightful place;
And in one glorious moment, all eternity was shaken,
As God broke through the darkness that had kept us apart.
And with love that conquers loneliness, and hope that fills all emptiness
He came to earth to show our worth.

(chorus)
So rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel has come!
And our God is with us, Emmanuel.
He’s come to save us, Emmanuel.
And we will never face life alone
Now that God has made Himself known,
As Father and Friend, with us through the end, Emmanuel.
Our God is with us, Emmanuel!

Out In The Highways

here’s a chapel on wheels parked at a truckstop,
Somewhere in the southern part of Florida tonight;
Many are blown in by a strong wind:
It’s the wind of the Spirit.

There’s a preacher with his head bowed
There at the altar,
Whispering a prayer as the people wander in,
Sayin’ it’s You, Lord, that they’re lookin’ for,
Whether they know it or not,
And that’s the reason I’ve got to go

chorus
Out in the highways, out in the highways.
Maybe this will be the day they come to meet You on their way,
Out in the highways.

There’s a church down on the corner with stained glass windows,
But time has stained the windows till no light is shining through;
Those on the outside pass right by,
Lost on a dark endless highway.

There’s a banner on the church wall
They put up many years ago,
Reminding them that Jesus said ‘Go into all the world’;
They need the Spirit wind to blow again
And fan the flame of concern,
Take the truth that they’ve learned and go

chorus
Out in the highways, out in the highways.
Open windows, doors and hearts, take the light into the dark,
Out in the highways.

P To S Lyrics

Parent’s Prayer

I guess we have always known
That a day like this one would come
When our children would leave us
And begin to build a home of their own
Lord, all you have taught us
We have gladly passed on to them
But one thing we don't know
Is how to place them back in your arms again

chorus:
Lord, help us let go of two
That they might become one
Just like the Father, Spirit, and Son
Two hearts invisibly bound in love
By a vow that will not be undone

Now in your tender care
Lord, be all that we cannot be
And help us to trust you
When we don't see you quickly meeting their needs
For you have provided
Since the day you gave our children to us
But now, in your arms dear Jesus
The time has come for giving them up

Repeat chorus

The urge is strong
To try holding on
To the image of two
The way that we knew them
But now in your eyes
The two will be as one

Repeat chorus 2 times

TAG:
By a vow that will not be undone
By a vow that will not be undone

Please Only You

save me Verse 1:
So here I go again, again
I've let myself get spread so thin
I can see right through my skin
And I don't like what I'm finding in my heart

So many differnet voices call
And I try hard to please them all
I run in circles til I fall
So I'm falling on my knees and praying

chorus:
Please, please, please only You, only You
Please, please, please take my heart and make it true
Let everything I say and everything I do
Please, please only You
Please only You

Verse 2:
For every moment of my time
For every thought that fills my mind
For every melody and rhyme
This is the prayer that I'll be praying

chorus again

This is what it means to be
The reason why I live and breathe
To know that I am totally existing for Your pleasure

I'm still learning but I know
As this becomes my only goal
The more I find my heart and soul is filled up with joy
When I, I please only You
I please only You
Please only You

Precious Promise

Oh what a precious promise,
Oh what a gift of love;
An angel tells a virgin that
She’s gonna have a son.
And though it’s a precious promise,
She wonders how can this be;
What will the people say
And what if Joseph can’t believe.
And her questions and her fears
Are met with an overwhelming joy
That God has chosen her.
Oh what a precious promise;
Mary waits as heaven comes to earth.

Oh what a precious promise,
Oh what a gift of love;
Joseph makes his choice to do
What few men would have done:
To take Mary as his bride,
When she’s already carrying a child
That isn’t his own.
Oh what a precious promise;
Mary and the child will have a home.

And shepherds stand on a hillside,
They are racing with the news the angel told them;
A star's light fills up the dark sky,
As the night of precious promise is unfolding.

Oh what a precious promise,
Oh what a gift of love;
The waiting now is over and
The time has finally come.
For the God who made this world
To roll back the curtain
And unveil His passion for the heart of man.
Oh what a precious promise,
Lying in a manger in Bethlehem.
Oh what a precious promise,
Lying in a manger in Bethlehem

Remember Your Chains

I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking
As he stared out the window through the sky
It seemed he was taking his last look at freedom
From the hopeless, longing look in his eyes
There were chains on his hands and chains on his feet
And as I passes him by the thought came to me

Remember your chains
Remember the prison that one help you
Before the love of God broke through
Remember the place you were without grace
When you see where you are now
Remember your chains
And remember your chains are gone

There's no one more thankful to sit at the table
Than the one who best remembers hunger's pain
And no heart loves greater than the one that is able
To recall the time when all it knew was the shame
The wings of forgiveness can take us to heights never seen
But the wisest ones, they will never lose sight of where they were set free
Love set them free

So remember your chains
Remember the prison that one help you
Before the love of God broke through
Remember the place you were without grace
When you see where you are now
Remember your chains
And remember your chains are gone

And in the light of all that we've been forgiven of
We will find our hearts fuller and freer
To give and receive God's love

So remember your chains
Remember the prison that one help you
Before the love of God broke through
Remember the place you were without grace
When you see where you are now
Remember your chains
Oh, remember your chains
When you remember your chains
Remember your chains are gone
Imagine what your life would be
If Jesus had not set you free
Remember your chains are gone
Remember all that once help you
Before the love of God broke through
Remember your chains
And remember your chains are gone

Rubber Meets The Road

Well, I couldn´t reach the pedals, but I could hold on to the wheel
I was driving in the Indy in my Daddy´s Oldsmobile
And I took the checkered flag and never took the car out of park
Maybe I was sitting still, but I was driving in my heart
And then one day this young man´s dreams came true
Dad threw the keys to me and said let´s see what you can do

Fire up your engines, come on let´s go
This is where the rubber meets the road
It´s time to put in motion everything you know
This is where the rubber meets the road, meets the road
The rubber meets the road

Well, I drove about an hour and finally made it around the block
I was in all of my glory, Dad was in a state of shock
But it didn´t take long for me to understand
That the road´s a different place when the wheel is in your hand
You can dream and scheme and talk about it, read it in a book
Look where you want to go, but are you going where you´ve looked?

(chorus)
I´ve got a Bible on the table, I´ve got 5 more on my shelf
I´ve got a head half full of knowledge far from what I´d call a wealth
But I know what I do know, better yet I know who knows me
And He´s given us directions and He´s throwing us the keys, saying

Run Away

Strolling past temptation avenue,
You hear so meny voices calling you;
Maybe you'll step in and take a quick look around.
Try to walk through it,
And you're gonna fall down.

chorus
You've gotta run away,
Turn around and run the other way;
Don't even look in the direction
of a thought you should not entertain.
You've gotta run away,
It's a prison that is calling your name;
You just can't win if you play,
So run away.

There comes a time when you must stand and fight,
When the darkness tries to evercome the light;
But sin that is dressed up in the color of gray,
Is only defeated
When we run away.

(chorus)
Don't put yourself in that position
Where sin can make it's proposition;
And if you find that you have fallen,
You gotta get up, get ready to run
Next time sin comes calling, calling.

(chorus)

Said And Done

Making promises came easy
Back when they first fell in love.
They talked of how they'd share the years together;
Said we'll work it out whatever comes.
I guess we never know just how it happens;
Vows forgotten that were once so true.
Holding on to broken dreams and promises,
It's time to act on what they said they would do.

chorus
'Cause when it's all said and done,
It's got to be all or none;
Words are no good unless they're backed with actions.
It's easier said than done;
Talk of the race and never run,
But the prize belongs to those who've said and done.

Love is one of many pages
In a story only time will tell;
It's a book of all the words we're saying,
Read by those who see us do as well.

(chorus)
When it's all said and done,
Have you done what you said.
When it's all said and done,
Have you done what you said you would do.

(chorus)

Savior

Well, who is this angry man I see
In the mirror looking back at me?
It’s a man who’s tired, a man who’s weak
And it’s a man who needs a Savior

And who is this fearful little child
Crying out for home, lost in the wild?
With a lonely heart that’s fading fast
It’s a child who needs a Savior
A child who needs a Savior

And what is this longing in my soul
That I get so scared and angry?
I need more than just a little help
I need someone who will save me
Come and save me
I need someone to save me
Who will save me?
Come and save me

And who is this one nailed to a cross
Who would rather die than leave us lost?
He’s come to rescue us, come to set us free
Hallelujah, hallelujah
It is Christ the Lord…our Savior

See The Glory

I never did like the word mediocre
I never wanted it to be said of me, oh, no
Just point me to the job and I’d go over, over
Looking for the very best that could be
So what is this thing I see
Going on inside of me?
When it comes to the grace of God
Sometimes it’s like …

I’m playing Gameboy standing in the middle of the Grand Canyon
I’m eating candy sittin’ at a gourmet feast
I’m wading in a puddle when I could be swimming in the ocean
Tell me what’s the deal with me
(I know the time has come for me to)
Wake up and see the glory

Every star in the sky tells His story, oh
And every breeze is singing His song
All of creation is imploring
Hey, come see this grand phenomenon
The wonder of His grace
Should take my breath away
I miss so many things when I’m content with …

How could I trivialize it
This awesome gift of God’s grace?
Once I have come to realize it
I should be speechless and amazed

Wake up and see the glory
Open your eyes and take it in
Wake up and be amazed
Over and over again

God’s love is calling to you and to me
Wake up, wake up
Open your eyes

Shadow Of The Cross

Well, I couldn't reach the pedals, but I could hold onto the wheel
I was driving in the Indy in my Daddy's Oldsmobile
And I took the checkered flag and never took the car out of park
Maybe I was sitting still, but I was driving in my heart
And then one day this young man's dream came true
Dad threw the keys to me and said

Show Yourselves To Be

Sweet are the branches growing the fruit that comes from the vine
But these are just branches blown by the wind holding on to life
I want to be like them holding on to the One whose life is mine
And I know as I follow him His life will sure show in me

chorus
He said you will
Show yourselves to be the ones who follow Me
By the evidence you leave along the way
They'll know that you are mine like the branches on the vine
If you show yourselves to be following me

Faith joins our heats to Him, it's not a result of anything we do
But if we are part of Him, there will be reasons to believe it's true
The fruit cannot help but grow if the branch is joined into the tree
And love cannot help but show in the one who goes where Jesus leads

chorus
bridge
Planted in the fertile soil of quiet times
Watered by the rains of trouble, growing toward the sun that shines
They'll know that you are Mine like the branches on the vine
If you show yourselves to be following Me

Signs Of Life

I want to get lost, in the shadow of the Cross....
To answer the call, surrender it all
in the shadow.....
I want to live this day, with a humble heart
that's ready to pay, whatever it costs
to find myself lost in the shadow of the Cross.
(Repeat)

Silent Night/Away In A Manger/O Holy Night

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
'round yon virgin mother and child
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And fit us for heaven, to live with Thee there

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Til He appeared and the soul felt it's worth

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night divine, O night, O night divine

soldier
When you are a soldier I will be your shield
I will go with you into the battlefield
And when the arrows start to fly
Take my hand and hold on tight
I will be your shield, 'cause I know how it feels
When you are a soldier

When you're tired from running
I will cheer you on
Look beside you and you'll see you're not alone
And when your strength is all but gone
I'll carry you until you're strong
And I will be your shield 'cause I know how it feels
When you're a soldier

I will be the one you can cry your songs to
My eyes will share your tears
And I'll be your friend if you win
Or if you're defeated
Whenever you need me I will be here

When you're lost in darkness I will hold the light
I will help you find your way through the night
I'll remind you of the truth
And keep the flame alive in you
And I will be your shield
'Cause I know how it feels
When you are a soldier

Sometimes He Comes In The Clouds

These are the places I was so sure I'd find him
I looked in the pages and I looked down on my knees
I lifted my eyes in expectation
To see the sun still refusing to shine, But

chorus:
Sometimes He comes in the clouds
Sometimes His face can not be found
Sometimes the sky is dark and gray
But some things can only be known
And sometimes are faith can only grow
When we can't see
So sometimes he comes in the clouds

Sometimes I see me, a sailor out on the ocean
So brave and so sure, as long as the skies are clear
But when the clouds to gather
I watch my faith turn to fear, But...

chorus
bridge:
Sometimes he comes in the rain
And we question the pain
And wonder why God can seem so far away
But time will show us, he was right there with us, and

chorus

Speechless

My words fall like drops of rain.
My lips are like clouds.
I've said so many things, trying to figure you out.
As mercy opens my eyes, my words are stolen away.
At this breathtaking view of your grace...

chorus:
And I am Speechless
I'm astonished and amazed
I am silenced by your wondrous grace.
You have saved me
You have raised me from the grave.
And I am Speechless
In your presence now.
I'm astounded as I wonder how
You have shown us the love that leaves us speechless.

So what kind of love can this be
That will trade heaven's throne for a cross
To think that you still celebrate
For finding just one who was lost.
To know you rejoice over this
The God of this whole universe.
It's a story too great for words...

chorus
Bridge
We are speechless
Oh how great is the love
The Father has lavished upon us,
That we should be called the sons and daughters of God

chorus
We are speechless
We stand in awe of your mercy
You have saved us
(from the grave)
We are speechless

chorus

Still Called Today

There a hole the size of a cruel word
In a wounded heart somewhere that's learning to hide the pain
There's a thorn stuck in the conscience of
Someone who spoke a word in anger
And they can't wash away the stain, sorry's such a hard word to say

chorus
But while it's still called today, won't somebody make it right
Before the day slips into night and the moments waste away
While it is still called today, we've got to say the words
That are longing to be heard 'cause tomorrow may be too late
Go on and say what you need to say while it is still called today
There's a girl who's waiting day after day
To hear her daddy say "I love you," now the days have turned to years
There's a wall that silence has turned to stone
Between a man and woman, she's holding back the tears
And he's holding on to his fears

(chorus)

bridge
'Cause there's a time when the sun goes down
And the flowers are laid on the grave
Will the tears that fall to the ground
Be the tears of regret for the words someone didn't say

(chorus)

Still Listening

I would lay me down to sleep
And pray the Lord my soul to keep
And though I never saw Him there
I believe He heard each prayer
For God was great, And God was good
And I knew if I spoke the words
He would be listening

The years can take us far away
From the simple child like faith
But I am longing to return
To the place where I first learned
That God is great, and God is good
So, I will speak the words

God, our Father, once again
I bow my head to pray
You are my Father and my friend, and You hear every word I say
A prayer for forgiveness, A desperate cry for help
Or praise flowing from a thankful heart
Like each time before, I come knowing You're still listening

I will never understand
How the words of mortal man
Can reach the ears of One so pure
And touch His heart, but they do I'm sure
For God is great, and God is good
And He is love

God, our Father, once again
I bow my head to pray
You are my Father and my friend, and You hear every word I say
A pray for forgiveness, A desperate cry for help
Or praise flowing from a thankful heart
Like each time before, I come knowing You're still listening
You're still listening

Now I lay me down to sleep
And pray the Lord my soul to keep
Though I may not see You there
I believe You'll hear each prayer

T To T Lyrics

Tell Me

Whatever happened to Johnny?
He was in church every time the doors were opened;
He gave his time and his money.
Why did he give up the fight?
He was a spiritual her.

Whatever happened to Sharon?
She was the only one
You knew you could always turn to;
How could she be so uncaring?
She turned her back on you;
Who you going to turn to now?

chorus
Tell me, tell me who are you depending on;
Tell me who do you believe.
You lost your faith in so many people,
But is your faith in who it should be.
There's only One who keeps all of His promises;
He is the only solid ground.
Let Jesus be the One you are trusting
To lift you up, cause He'll never let you down.

Whatever happens He's faithful;
Those who depend on him will never be disappointed,
So trust His Word and be thankful
You found the One who's true,
Someone you can turn to now.

That's Paradise

Jimmy and Mary were quite a pair back in their younger days
They met a married in six weeks time and
That was sixty years ago this May
Four kids made a house a home and a love for Jesus kept them strong
Now every morning at eight A..M.. Jimmy takes a drive through town
He spends his days at Mary's side
In a home for the old and broken down
With a cane in his lap and a Bible in his hand
He reads her stories about the promised land
And with tears in their eyes they dream of a place
Where everything changes in the light of Jesus' face and

chorus
That's paradise... Hey, that's paradise...
When the life breaks through and the old's made new
And the joy will never die, that's paradise

In another corner of this world, met another man named Jim
Told me how twenty years of running from God
Had finally gotten the best of him
He said all hope was gone and he wanted to die
'Cause what could God do with such a messed up guy
So we talked about Jesus, God's love and His plan
And when Jim walked away he was a brand new man and

(chorus)
Now listen,
Well I know the best remains to be seen
In a place that's far beyond our wildest dreams
But until we see heaven we've got Jesus' world
That He'll never leave us and each prayer will be heard
(chorus)

The Change

Well I got myself a T-shirt that says what I believe
I got letters on my bracelet to serve as my ID
I got the necklace and the key chain
And almost everything a good Christian needs, yeah
I got the little Bible magnets on my refrigerator door
And a welcome mat to bless you before you walk across my floor
I got a Jesus bumper sticker
And the outline of a fish stuck on my car
And even though this stuff's all well and good, yeah
I cannot help but ask myself ...

What about the change
What about the difference
What about the grace
What about forgiveness
What about a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change, yeah
I'm undergoing the change

Well I've got this way of thinking that comes so naturally
Where I believe the whole world is revolving around me
And I got this way of living that I have to die to every single day
'Cause if God's Spirit lives inside of me, yeah
I'm gonna live life differently

I'm gonna have the change
I'm gonna have the difference
I'm gonna have the grace
I'm gonna have forgiveness
I'm gonna live a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change

What about the change
What about the difference
What about the grace
What about forgiveness
I want to live a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change

The Great Adventure

Saddle up your horses
Started out this morning in the usual way
Chasing thoughts inside my head of all I had to do today
Another time around the circle try to make it better than the last
I opened up the Bible and I read about me
Said I'd been a prisoner and God's grace had set me free
And somewhere between the pages it hit me like a lightning bolt
I saw a big frontier in front of me and I heard somebody say let's go!

chorus
Saddle up your horses we've got a trail to blaze
Through the wild blue yonder of God's amazing grace
Let's follow our leader into the glorious unknown
This is a life like no other oh... this is The Great Adventure Yeah...

Come on get ready for the ride of your life
Gonna leave long faced religion in a cloud of dust behind
And discover all the new horizons just waiting to be explored
This is what we were created for

(chorus)

bridge
We'll travel over, over mountains so high
We'll go through valleys below
Still through it all we'll find that
This is the greatest journey that the human heart will ever see
The love of God will take us far beyond our wildest dreams
Yeah... oh saddle up your horses... come on get ready to ride

(chorus)

The Human Race

Steven Curtis Chapman/James Isaac Elliott
Phillipians 2:3-11

In a world of winners and losers
Some are used, some are the users
It's a push and shove race
Of trying to get ahead
In the dust of all the confusion
We make a choice, Truth or illusion
Will we listen to lies
Or hear what the Father says

chorus
We are running in a human race
Where nobody wants to settle for second place
But we'be got to run it at a different pace
'Cause the first will be last and the last will be first
At the end of the human race

In a day when values are changing
What kind of ground are we really gaining
Who are we trying to serve by going the extra mile
We can't trade the Truth for the fashion
We've got to live a life of compassion
And those we touch are the prize
That waits at the finish line

chorus
We are running in the human race
We must run it at a different pace
'Cause we'll all meet the Father face to face
At the finish line of the human race

The Invitation

In the palace in the land of mercy
The King looked down from His throne
He saw the sick and the homeless and hungry
He saw me lost and without hope
And moved with compassion
He sent out His only Son
With the invitation, to come

This is your invitation
Come just the way you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation

So I stood outside the gates and trembled
In my rags of unworthiness
Afraid to even stand at a distance
In the presence of holiness
And just as I turned to go
The gates swung open wide
And the King and His only Son
They invited me inside

This is your invitation
Come just the way you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation

So now will you come with me
To where the gates swing open wide
The King and His only Son
Are inviting us inside

This is our invitation
Come, sinner, as you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation
This is our invitation
This is the invitation

The Mountain

I want to build a house up on this mountain
Way up high where the peaceful waters flow
To quench my thirsty soul
Up on the mountain

chorus
My faith is strengthened by all that I see
You make it easy for me to believe up on the mountain
Oh, up on the mountain

I would love to live up on this mountain
And keep the pain of living life so far away
But I know I can't stay
Up on the mountain

chorus
I said I'd go, Lord, wherever You lead
For where You are is where I most want to be
And I can tell we're headed for the valley
My faith is strengthened by all that I've seen
So Lord help me remember what You've shown me
Up on the mountain

chorus 2
You bring me up here on this mountain
For me to rest and learn and grow
I see the truth up on the mountain And I carry it to the world far below
So as I go down to the valley
Knowing that You will go with me
This is my prayer, Lord
Help me to remember what You've shown me
Up on the mountain
Up on the mountain

I cherish these times up on the mountain
But I can leave this place because I know
Someday You'll take me home to live forever
Up on the mountain

The Music Of Christmas

There’s a man who stands in the cold wind tonight,
And he greets everyone passing by
With a smile and a ringing bell;
And the song that he’s playing, is his own way of saying:
Love is here, it’s the music of Christmas.

And there’s a lady who sits all alone with her thoughts,
And the memories of all that she’s lost,
When she hears a sound at her door,
And a song comes to find her, as a gentle reminder:
Love is here, it’s the music of Christmas.

chorus
So listen, listen with your heart
And you will hear a song in the laughter of a child.
Oh won’t you listen for the sound of hope,
And you will hear the music of Christmas,
For the music of Christmas is love;
Oh, its love.

So light the fire, tell the family to gather around,
And the walls will echo the sound
Of memories that are and will be;
And their voices, like a chorus, will sing it so sweetly for us;
Love is here, it’s the music of Christmas.

(chorus)
Long ago, a baby was born in the night,
And as He let out His very first cry,
The sound was bringing hope alive.
Stars were shining, angels singing;
All heaven and earth was ringing:
Love is here, this is the music of Christmas.

(chorus)

The Walk

I´ve got a Grandpa Rudd
He gave thirty years to the lumber yard
Loving his family and working hard
Got a faith like a solid rock
He´s just doing the walk
I´ve got a friend named Larry
He sends me letters from a foreign land
He moved there with his kids and his pretty wife Mary
To answer a holy call
He´s just doing the walk

You can run with the big dogs
You can fly with the eagles
You can jump through all the hoops
And climb the ladder to the top
But when it all comes down
You know it all comes down to the walk

There´s a man I know
He said He´d come to show us the way
He died on a cross and He rose from the grave
And proved He was more than talk
He taught us the walk
And now I´m singing my songs
Standing up on a big, bright stage
And I do my dance while the music plays
But when the music stops
Am I doing the walk

You can run with the big dogs
You can fly with the eagles
You can jump through all the hoops
And climb the ladder to the top
But when it all comes down
You know it all comes down to this

Do justly, love mercy
Walk humbly with your God
´Cause you can run with the big dogs
You can fly with the eagles
You can jump through all the hoops
And climb the ladder to the top
But when it all comes down
You know it all comes down, down, down, down, down
To the walk

This Baby

Well, He cried when He was hungry,
Did all the things that babies do;
He rocked and He napped on His mother’s lap,
And He wiggled and giggled and cooed.
There were the cheers when He took His first step,
And the tears when He got His first teeth;
Almost everything about this little baby
Seemed as natural as it could be.

chorus
But this baby made the angels sing,
And this baby made a new star shine in the sky.
This baby had come to change the world.
This baby was God’s own son, this baby was like no other one.
This baby was God with us, this baby was Jesus.

And this baby grew into a young boy,
Who learned to read and write and wrestle with dad;
There was the climbin’ of trees and the scrapin’ of knees,
And all the fun that a boy’s born to have.
He grew taller and some things started changing,
Like His complexion and the sound of His voice;
There was work to be done as a carpenter’s son
And all the neighbors said He’s such a fine boy.

But this boy made the angels sing,
And this boy made a new star shine in the sky.
This boy had come to change the world.
This boy was God’s own son, this boy was like no other one.
This boy was God with us. This boy became a man,

And love made Him laugh and death made Him cry.
With the life that He lived and the death that He died,
He showed us heaven with His hands and His heart,
‘Cause this man was God’s own son.
This man was like no other one,
Holy and human right from the start.

(chorus)
This baby was God with us, this baby, this baby was Jesus; this baby was Jesus, this baby was Jesus.

This Day

Yesterday the sky was bright and clear
I could see the sun and I could hear the song
Faith flowed like a river free and deep
And grace was not so hard to be believed
But that was yesterday
And what was close enough to touch
Now seems a world away
So what about this day

This day all His mercies are new
This day every promise is true
Father, help me to believe
Give me faith I need to know You
And trust You this day
This day

Who knows what tomorrow’s light will bring
Tears to cry or maybe songs to sing out loud
But only God can see that far away
And He made us for living day by day
‘Cause He wants us to see
That the God that He’s been every day of history
Is who He is this day

‘Cause You are the same yesterday and today and forever
Through every season Your truth and Your grace never change
Oh, Lord, I do believe that the God that You’ve been every day of history
Is who You are this day
This day…this day

This day Your mercies are new
This day Your promise is true
This day my hope is in You, Lord
This day

Treasure Island

The moon’s waving the world goodbye;
The morning sun smiles and lights the sky.
I hear the waves crashing into shore;
The world’s an ocean waiting at my door.
Before I set out for the open sea,
I’ll take the word my Father’s given me.

chorus 1
And I’ll go sailing out to Treasure Island,
The Treasure Island that God’s word can be;
I’ll pray and make my way to Treasure Island,
And in those quiet times I know that I will find
All the treasure I will ever need.

I raise the sail as I kneel to pray,
Check my course all along the way;
A million thoughts like the rushing wind
Are blowing this ship so I’ll pray again.
Soon I have landed on the solid ground;
I take my life’s concerns and lay them all down.

(chorus 1)
And when I return to the mainland,
I’ll take the treasure back with me.

chorus 2
I’ll go sailing out to Treasure Island,
The Treasure Island that God’s word can be;
Ill go sailing out to Treasure Island,
Guided by the Spirit’s gentle wind.
I’ll pray and make my way to Treasure Island,
And when the new day starts, I’ll take my longing heart
And sail to Treasure Island once again.

Treasure Of Jesus

What can I do
How can I live
To show my world
The treasure of Jesus

What will it take
What could I give
So they can know
The treasure He is

chorus:
And if I can sing
Let my songs be full of His glory
If I can speak
Let my words be full of His grace

And if I should live or die
Let me be found pursuing this prize
The One that alone satisfies
The treasure of Jesus

Treasure Of You

Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice
That heartsick look in your eyes
You hide it very well, but I've got the same disguise
I know from all you see around you
You feel worth a very small price
So plain and ordinary, but there's a pearl inside

And if you look in the mirror in the light of the truth
You'll see there's really nothing you could say or do
To make you worth more to the One who made you

chorus
Your are a treasure
Worth more than anything under the sun or the moon
God's greatest treasure
Is the treasure of you

The rich man treasures gold and silver
The wise man, his knowledge of truth
Some will hold to memories and some will cling to youth
But the one who carved out the oceans
And painted the stars in the sky
You are His prized creation, the apple of His eye
There's no one else in the world who could take your place
Just the thought of you brings a smile to His face
God loves you with amazing grace

(chorus)

bridge
So take a look in the mirror in the light of the truth
Oh, yes it's true
See there's nothing more you can say or do
God loves the way He created you

(chorus)

From the T to the R to the E to the A to the S to the U to the R to the E
God made everything and everything He made
More than anything He treasures you and me
Check in in the mirror in the light of the truth
There is nothing you will ever say and nothing you will do
The will ever make God care more than He does for the treasure
God's treasure is you

Truth Or Consequences

Galaians 6:7-8

The T.V. said just make sure you're old enough
And let your feelings tell you when it's right
What went wrong? She thought it was really love
Now she wonders why she just can't sleep at night
Was it worth the price she has to pay

chorus
It's either truth or consequences, there's no other way
Push truth aside, the other takes it place
Well, you can close your eyes
But that won't make it go away
The truth or consequences must be faced

The headlines say our world's in a lot of pain
Huurt from all the selfishness and greed
What went wrong? Like sheep all have gone astray
We'll reap what we sow, don't be deceived
His truth's been given and it's there before us
Written on the page and in our hearts

chorus

As sure as God made the sun to shine
He made the rules we must all live by
He loved us too much to leave us alone
To our own devices

Repeat chorus

Tuesday’s Child

Steven Curtis Chapman/Dale Oliver/Dave Mullen

Just when I thought I was strong
Another weak day comes along
And all my righteousness goes wrong
But I was doing so well
My dreams to be a Godly man
Seem out of reach of my own hand
But where I fall short His grace still stands
If I have faith like a child

chorus
And if Monday's child is fair of face
And Tuesday's child is full of grace
Then you can call me a Tuesday's child
Like Wednesday's child, I'm full of woe
And Thursday's child I'be got far to go
But you can call me a Tuesday's child

Sounds too easy some might might say
There's a bigger price to pay
But when Jesus gave His life away
It was once and for all
So with more of His grace filling me
I more than ever want to be
Growing up in purity
With the faith of a child

chorus
That's what I want to be
Full of His grace for me
Knowing He's all I need
Growing in purity

chorus
That's what I want to be
Full of His grace for me
Knowing He's all I need
Growing in purity

Sharing the grace He gives
That's how I want to live
Free in His promises
I want to be a Tuesday's child

W To Y Lyrics

Wait

Steven Curtis Chapman/Margaret Becker
Isaiah 40:27-31

You wonder when
The Lord will renew the strength within you
You wonder how
How can He use you as you are
Seems like you're wasting precious time
But then a voice comes to remind you (to wait)

chorus
Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
You will understand in time
Why you must wait
Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
Yes He hears you
But for now you must wait on the Lord

Answers come slowly to your cries of desperation
But time is His tool
Teaching the greatest lessons learned
So let Him do His work in you
And watch the miracles come true as you (wait)

chorus
They that wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They will rise up with wings as eagles
They will run, not get weary
They will walk and not faint
That's a promise to us when we (wait)

Repeat chorus

Waiting For Lightning

Standing on the edge of the truth,
Looking out at the view
Of all you used to believe,
From where you are you can see you’re far away from home.
Echoes of the life you once knew
Call out to you from across the divide,

And you know it’s time to step back over the line,
But you’re . . .

chorus
Waiting for lightning,
A sign that it’s time for a change;
And you’re listening for thunder,
While He quietly whispers your name.

Night falls and the curtain goes down;
No one’s around,
It’s just you and the truth.
As you lie in wait
For a feeling to take you by storm,
Somewhere in the depths of your heart,
Where it’s empty and dark, there’s a flicker of light,
And the Spirit calls,
But do you notice at all;
Are you . . .

(chorus)
But the sign and the word
Have already been given,
And now it’s by faith
We must look and we must listen,
Instead of . . .

(chorus)

Walk With The Wise

I prayed a prayer for wisdom just like a farmer prays for rain
'Cause I know that I must have it to survive in this life
And I stared out in the distance 'cause it seemed so far away
And I waited for the lightning
But the lightning and the thunder never came
So I took a look beside me to my left and to my right
And saw people full of wisdom all around in my life
And it started to come clearer I began to understand
That my prayer was being answered, it's all part of God's plan

chorus
If we walk with the wise we will grow wise ..wo ..wo
If we walk in the light then our path will be bright I know
There's someone who's already been where we must go
In the light of what they've learned we find
That we will grow wise if we walk with the wise

I've learned to look for answers in those born before my time
As I listen to them tell me what they've learned in their lives
I talk to friends with understanding much deeper than my own
And gain wisdom beyond measure I could never find alone

(chorus)

bridge
One life can be a candle with wisdom as its fire
And every life touches with its flame is set ablaze

(chorus)

Way Beyond The Blue

Way beyond the blue, the Father is calling;
Let Him take you to a life beyond compare.
The passion fades and your sense of adventure
Sits collecting dust on a shelf;
The new gets old and hearts get cold.

Where’s the flame that burned with excitement?
Where’s the hope you once knew so well?
It’s lost at sea with all your dreams.
There you stand caught between an endless sky above and earth below;
Look above and beyond what you can see to find a view of all that this life can be.

chorus
Way beyond the blue where the Father is calling,
Let Him take you to a life beyond compare;
His love is wider than the sky above you,
And He has plans for you that go way beyond the blue.

Like the wind carries an eagle,
Let His hand carry you now,
And show you scenes of His mighty strength.
As you rise high above all the riches that this world could give,
You will find the depth of His love,
And His grace that is lifting you up to live.

(chorus)
God has raised us up with Christ
And seated us with Him in heavenly places,
So that He can show the riches of His grace
To the coming ages.

(chorus)

We Belong Together

Deep in the jungle, up in a tree
In Indiana 1983
Living on pizza and too little sleep
Just me and my animal friends
Then in the distance I saw through the leaves
Creature of beauty like none I had even seen
The trouble started when you smiled at me
And our two worlds came crashing together
And true love slowly began

I am Tarzan, You are Jane
I am the night, and you are the day
We're like sunshine and rain
We're so different from each other
You are a woman, I am a man
You're the sea, and I am the land
And I would not be who I am
If I didn't have you

I know that somedays we both wonder how
We got together, we're still so different now
But I can't imagine my life without you
Cause all those things that make us so different
Are just what make us all that we are

I am Tarzan, You are Jane
I am the night, and you are the day
We're like sunshine and rain
We're so different from each other
You are a woman, I am a man
You are the sea, and I am the land
And I would not be who I am
If I didn't have you

We Will Dance

I've watched the sunrise in your eyes
And I've seen the tears fall like the rain
You've seen me fight so brave and strong
You've held my hand when I'm afraid

We've watched the seasons come and go
We'll see them come and go again
But in winter's chill, or summer's breeze
One thing will not be changin'

We will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance

Sometimes it's hard to hold you tight
Sometimes we feel so far apart
Sometimes we dance as one
And feel the beating of each others hearts

Some days the dance is slow and sweet
Some days we're bouncing off the walls
No matter how this world may turn
Our love will keep us from fallin'

And we will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance

The music will play
And I'll hold you close
And I won't let you go
Even when our steps
Grow weak and slow
Still I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we, will dance

Weak Days

Another rainy Monday,
Looks like I'm gonna be late again;
Why does the race Im runnin' never seem to have an end.
A day away from Sunday,
Feels like I'm already losing ground -
Funny sometimes how quickly my emotions get turned around;
They're letting me down.

chorus
I gotta keep my eyes on Jesus
Through the weak days;
In a world where we really don't belong,
I've discovered if I keep my eyes on Jesus
Through the weak days,
Then even on the weak days He'll make me strong.

The spirit is so willing
When the fellowship is so sweet;
How soon all the good intentions
Find the flesh is weak.
But there's a power waiting,
With no limits to times or space;
All of our doubts and fears disappear without a trace
When we look on His face.

(chorus)
And when we keep our eyes on Jesus,
We'll gladly follow where He leads us.

(chorus)

What Would I Say

She was a lovely girl, a charming brown eyed beauty
You were the bright young man who swept her off her feet
The high school class ring soon became a wedding band
And you went off to sail the seas for Uncle Sam
But they say it was the demon in the bottle
That took you far away never to return
And you never knew your son would be my father
And now sometimes I think about you and I wonder
If I could talk to you what words would I choose

I would say I wish I could have known you
And I would say I wish you would've stayed
But most of all I would say I forgive you

I know your love was strong I read it in your letters
I read how hard you tried to break free from the chains
I know we all could say how you should have done better
And wear our anger and resentment like a fetter
But that's why I would say this to you if I could

I'd love to tell you how the lovely girl you married
She's been my hero and a treasure to us all
I know you'd be proud of the way your name's been carried
These are things I would love to tell you if I could
I wish you were here to hear what I would say

What I Really Want To Say

I say I love you, I say I need you
I try so many ways to say how my heart beats for you
I say I'm always thinking about you
There's no way I'd want to face this life without you
And even though these words come from deep inside me
There's so much more I don't have the words to say

'Cause what I really want to say
Is what the sun would say to the sky
For giving it a place to come alive
But my words get in the way
Of what I really want to say
Oh, what I really want to say

I know that sometimes my words can be as hard as stone
And sometimes my words have left you feeling so alone
So please forgive me and hear the words I'm saying now
I will spend my whole life looking for a way somehow
To let you know just how precious you are to me
I'll use the best words I know but I still won't say it all

It's like a tale too great to be told
It's something that my heart can only show
I'm gonna take my whole life
Just to let you know
What I really want to say
Oh, what I really want to say to you
What I really want to say
Oh, what I really want to say

What Kind Of Joy

Anybody in their right mind
Would've given up their preaching and headed for home
They've been warned a hundred times
But something inside them keeps giving them hope
And just when you think they'd be crying
Instead of the tears, there's joy in their eyes

chorus 1
What kind of joy is this
That counts it a blessing to suffer
What kind of joy is this
That gives the prisoner his song
What kind of joy could stare death in the face
And see it as sweet victory
This is the joy of a soul that's forgiven and free

Anybody else with his pain
Would want to shake their fist at heaven
And give up the fight
'Cause trouble had been Paul's middle name
Ever since he'd been captured by God's blinding light
But just when his hope should be dying
If you listen you'll hear him singing a song

chorus 1

chorus 2
What kind of joy is this
The Father has promised his children
What kind of joy is this
That Jesus has come to reveal
What kind of joy could give hope in this world
To someone just like you and me
This is the joy of a soul that's forgiven and free
I've found this joy for my soul is forgiven and free

What Now

Verse 1:
I saw the face of Jesus
In a little orphan girl
She was standing in the corner
On the other side of the world

And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my heart
Ddn't you say you wanted to find Me
Well, here I am, here you are

chorus:
So what now
What will you do now that you've found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you've found

I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you'll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?

Verse 2:
And I saw the face of Jesus
Down on Sixteenth Avenue
He was sleeping in an old car
While his mom went looking for food

And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my soul
Didn't you say you wanted to know me
Well, here I am
And it's getting cold

chorus again

So come and know
Come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now

Oh, come and know
Come, come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now

Whatever

I made a list, wrote down from A to Z
All the ways I thought that You could best use me
Told all my strengths and my abilities
I formed a plan it seemed to make good sense
I laid it out for You so sure You'd be convinced
I made my case, presented my defense
But then I read the letter that You sent me
It said that all You really want from me is just

Whatever, whatever You say
Whatever, I will obey
Whatever, Lord, have Your way
'Cause You are my God, whatever

So strike a match, set fire to the list
Of all my good intentions, all my preconceived ideas
I want to do Your will no matter what it is
Give me faith to follow where You lead me
Oh, Lord, give me the courage and the strength to do ...

I am not my own
I am Yours and Yours alone
You have bought me with Your blood
Lord, to You and You alone do I belong
And so whatever

When Love Takes You In

I know you’ve heard the stories
But they all sound too good to be true
You’ve heard about a place called home
But there doesn’t seem to be one for you
So one more night you cry yourself to sleep
And drift off to a distant dream

Where love takes you in and everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in

And somewhere while you’re sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too
Counting down the days until
They hold you close and say I love you
And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
And this love will never let you go
There is nothing that could ever cause this love to lose its hold

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in it takes you in for good
When love takes you in

When You Are A Soldier

And wear out anger and resentment like a fetter
But that's the way I would say this to you if I could
I'd love to tell you how the lovely girl you married
She's been my hero and a treasure to us all
I know you'd be proud of the way your name's been carried
These are the things I would love to tell you if I could
I wish you were here to hear what I would say

Where We Belong

A gentle breeze was blowing
The air was heavenly sweet - life was so complete
In a picture perfect garden
While the sun went down you could hear the sound
Of a man and woman crying - saying what have we done
We made our choice and now we're dying
And we've got to leave this place and hide from God's face but this is

chorus
Where we belong where you and I were meant to be (from now on) all along
Made by the Father to live in His love
It's the purpose and plan for the heart of man
This is where we belong

The warm winds of change were blowing
After years and years of hopeless tears
One man became the doorway
That would lead back to the place where life was new
A place just like the garden where we walk and talk with God
The way creation started
Where each heart and soul can come and be whole (this is)

(chorus)

bridge
Like the stars belong in the sky like a fish belongs in the water
Just like children you and I belong in the hands of the Father (this is)

(chorus)

Who Cares

rapped in simple conversation,
Hard getting past those old familiar lines,
Guarded hearts and with good reason
Say how are you, oh I'm doin' just fine;
They've said all that they can say,
Then they turn and walk away,
And the wounded hearts must wait another day.

chorus
Who cares when they're crying;
Who cares when they're all alone,
And no one knows how much they long
To find someone
Who cares that they're dying,
Who cares that the road is long,
And you could be the one to lead them
To the One who cares.

Captured by the rush of living,
So hard to hear our brothers' quiet cries,
But freedom comes when we are willing
To open up our hearts and realize
They've said all that they can say;
We can't turn and walk away,
'Cause the wounded hearts might not wait another day.

(chorus)
The Father gave His Son
To show the world how much He cares,
And now it's up to us to let them know
He cares.

(chorus)

Who Makes The Rules

Well, I’ve been watching us very close,
And I guess the one thing that’s been bothering me the most,
Is when I see us playing by the same rules that the world is using.

Well, I’ve been listening to the things that we say,
And I, I hear us mention words like fortune and fame,
And it makes me wonder if we’re sure about the side we’re choosing.
That’s why I’m asking you

chorus
Who makes the rules for me and you,
When it’s wrong or right is it black and white?
Who makes the rules for me and you;
It’s our life at stake so we better know who makes the rules.

When I see people just like you and me,
Trying to live out the pictures they see on TV;
Gotta have a new car, new clothes, new love when they get tired of trying.

Well, I’ve been reading ‘bout a different way,
Talking ‘bout dying to live and losing to gain;
Seems like somebody’s telling us the truth and somebody’s lying.
I wanna know who.

(chorus)
Two voices are calling out to you;
You’re serving the one you’re listening to,
So, tell me who, somebody tell me who.

With Every Little Kiss

verse 1:)

Well, I still remember the first time
I felt the power of your kiss
It hit me like a bolt of lightning
I said, "I never will recover from this"
And like the words from the mouth of a prophet
I have lived to see those words come true
Just look at me now, I'm still reeling

chorus:
With every little kiss I'm reminded
How wonderful it is to be in love with you
With every little look
With every little touch
With every little kiss

(verse 2:)

Like a moth being drawn to a candle
This is something that I can't resist
I guess you could say I'm addicted
'Cause I keep coming back again and again
And after all of the storms that we've weathered
All the seasons of change we've been through
Somehow the flame keeps getting brighter
You give me just a little taste of heaven
Just one more good gift that God has given
I don't want to miss one single little kiss

With Hope

This is not at all how
We thought it was supposed to be
We had so many plans for you
We had so many dreams
And now you've gone away
And left us with the memories of your smile
And nothing we can say
And nothing we can do
Can take away the pain
The pain of losing you, but ...

We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, oh no
And we can grieve with hope
'Cause we believe with hope
(There's a place by God's grace)
There's a place where we'll see your face again
We'll see your face again

And never have I known
Anything so hard to understand
And never have I questioned more
The wisdom of God's plan
But through the cloud of tears
I see the Father's smile and say well done
And I imagine you
Where you wanted most to be
Seeing all your dreams come true
'Cause now you're home
And now you're free, and ...

We have this hope as an anchor
'Cause we believe that everything
God promised us is true, so ...

So we can cry with hope
And say goodbye with hope

We wait with hope
And we ache with hope
We hold on with hope
We let go with hope

You Know Better

I saw you staring out your window
Watchin' the people passing by
Taking some notes on what you saw out there
So you would know how hard you need to try

I heard you asking lots of questions
How in comparison you stand
Please let me warn you to be very careful
God wants our best and not our better than

chorus
But you know better, better than that
You know better than, better than that
You should know better, truth is the only measure
You know better than, better than that

Now just in case I've got you thinkin'
And if your're feeling like I do
Maybe it's time we open up the Holy Bible
And see exactly what He's called us to
He said the least would be the greatest
The greatest is the one who serves
We must be living by a different standard
A life that isn't graded on a curve

chorus

You’ve Got Me

One day you've got me crying
One day you've got me thinking
I'm going out of my mind
But one thing is true
The one thing that never changes
Is that you've always got me ...

On a Monday, on a Tuesday, on a Wednesday
All the way around 'til Sunday
You've always got me on the good days
And the bad days and the mad days
The happy and the sad days
You've got me every day of my life

One night you've got candles burning
One night your head is aching
Most night you've got several hundred things
Still on you list to get to get done
One thing stays true
One thing that you can know for certain
Is that you've always got me

On a Monday
On a Tuesday
On a Wednesday
All the way up to Sunday
You've always got me
On the good days
And the bad days
And the mad days
The happy and the sad days
You've got me every day of my life

You've always got me
You've always got me by your side
You've always got me
Every single day of my life
You've always got me
You've always got me by your side
You've always got me

One thing stays true
One thing that you can know for certain
Is that you've always got me

Your Side Of The World

So here we are we're standin' face to face
And yet we seem to be a million miles apart
This world can feel like such a lonely place
It all depends on what you see from where you are
So please, please tell me what you can
'Cause I want to understand

How does it look from your side?
How does it look from where you are?
How does it look from your side
From your side of the world?

So tell me the color of your sky above
Paint me a picture of the things that make you smile
Show me your fears and what you're dreaming of
Take me to where my heart can see across the miles
And please, please tell me what you can
'Cause I want to understand

How does it look from your side?
How does it look from where you are?
How does it look from your side
From your side of the world?

Don't be surprised to find I'm not too far away
'Cause what we are both in search of is one and the same
So please, please tell me what you see
'Cause I really want to be the one who understands
